A MOCA Summer Camp tradition! ☀️🎨

Our campers headed to Wynwood Walls for their annual field trip, where our amazing guides, Marco and Jonathan, introduced them to the stories and techniques behind graffiti and street art.

We had an incredible time exploring the murals, learning about the artists, and ending the experience by creating graffiti of our own!

What memories can a piece of fabric hold?

Anchors of Light celebrates MOCA’s 30th anniversary through works that reflect artistic risk, experimentation, and the communities that have defined our story. Spanning themes of The Body, The Garden, and The Miami School, the exhibition brings together artists across generations in a conversation about place, identity, memory, and transformation.

As Miami continues to evolve, Anchors of Light reflects on MOCA’s role as both anchor and beacon—supporting artists at pivotal moments while illuminating new possibilities for contemporary art.

Final week to experience Bailando Nuestros Problemas by Joan Jiménez “Entes” at MOCA.

Since its installation, these iron sculptures have weathered Miami’s sun and rain, slowly oxidizing and evolving. What began as pristine surfaces now carry new textures, colors, and traces of time—becoming even more alive with each passing season.

Inspired by the gathering places, stories, and rhythms of Little Havana, Bailando Nuestros Problemas honors the resilience, joy, and cultural continuity of Black and Brown communities across Latin America. Through sculptural altars dedicated to memory, movement, and shared experience, Entes transforms public space into a site of reflection, celebration, and resistance.
