One of those moments where the pocket gets deep - this fav phat jam with the man @nehal_rox, singing 'em sexy ad-libs, and the band just knows where to go! Woop!
🫠 🫠 love those little fragmented words!

Definitely one of my favourite gigs of all time, and I’m so grateful for such moments at @ncpamumbai. taken in NCPA Mumbai by @mod.cult

Mumbai, meet MOD Cult - Modern Music Culture.

A band that thrives in the in-between where modern jazz meets soul, groove slips into improvisation, and structure dissolves into feeling.

Led by bassist Avishek Dey, with Shreya Bhattacharya’s evocative vocals, Noah Cerejo on drums, Aditya Ahir on piano/synth, and Jordan Rodriguez on synths & live electronics, MOD Cult crafts immersive, genre-defying soundscapes that are as intricate as they are deeply soulful.

Catch MOD Cult live in Mumbai on 7th Feb, as part of the India Jazz Project, alongside Tinariwen.

Tickets live on District 🎟️

Some nights go beyond music — they become moments. A couple of week’s at Skinny Mo’s Jazz Club was one such night, and we’re still buzzing from it.

We were thrilled to host Kinzoogianna — the force behind UK nu-jazz pioneers Brotherly — for a special live set that blended dance jazz, funk, broken beats, and soul into a rich, immersive tapestry of rhythm, harmony, and deep groove.

Led by the incredible Anna Stubbs on vocals, synth, and keys, the quartet featured Croo Music on keys, Noah Cerejo on drums, and Avishek Dey on bass along with the powerhouse Shreya Bhattacharya, who took things to another level.

Huge thanks to these phenomenal musicians for bringing their magic to our stage, and to everyone who came out and locked into the vibe with us. Nights like these are why we do what we do — and we can’t wait to make it happen again.
