Christmas came early - finally received my copies of the Bridges EP, the 10th and final run in the DIME-series of lathe cuts👀

Overwhelmed by the support I've received with these tracks. A massive thank you to everyone who's been buying, playing, sharing and listening to the EP!! I've reached crowds and dancefloors I could've never imagined just one year ago.

Shouts to the @dime.shift crew and especially @axle_sound for believing in my music and putting it out to the world.

DIMESHIFT - @theloveinnbristol - 17TH JULY 2026

Truant is back in Bristol pairing up with Axle for an exclusive b2b. This coincides with the release of a new LP on his xprs label. He is also known for his releases on dubstep label Juan Forte.

Sharnie will be setting the mood with an extended 2.5 hour mix. She is a highly skilled DJ specialising in blending dub techno with more bass heavy sounds. This is the third Dimeshift appearance for the Rinse FM regular.

Mod Sens (Malmö) joins us for his long awaited UK debut following the release of his Bridges EP on Dimeshift last year. He also released DIME002 (Skum / Switches) back in 2023.

Dirty Fika is back, this time at @inkonst bringing you a night built on intention and quality from start to finish. We are super excited to have @mod.sens (SE) with us for this easter edition, a local favorite and one of Malmö’s most tasteful selectors.

Introducing Mod Sens :
Mod Sens is a DJ and producer based in Malmö who’s played an active role in shaping the southern city’s electronic scene over the last years. Affiliated with Bristol-based label Dimeshift and co-founder of the club series Melt, he’s been putting out a diversity of long-wave sound transmissions to the dancefloors. Here he invites the listener to a shifting dynamic of rhythm and sound. Rooted in the umbrella of uk bass, his sets explore cross-boundary styles throughout the low-end continuum - from hypnotic tech dubs and left-field techno chuggers to skippy 2-steppers and broken bass rhythms.

The ice-cold soundscapes of his latest release “Bridges” has seen an impressive reception by the likes of Mala, Jossy Mitsu, Oblig and many more, and over the last years his releases have been recognized all over Europe and beyond. With widespread support on radio channels, clubs and festivals such as Rinse FM, The Lot, FWD>>, Outlook, Dekmantel and more, Mod Sens is on the Swedish forefront of bass music.

It’s with great pleasure that we can announce our stage takeover of the Malmö stage on this year’s edition of Malmöfestivalen! On August 15th we invite you to a full day celebrating bass music, powered by one of the most powerful sound systems in the country, Big Bauta Sound. Between 16-01 we are joined by some of our favourite acts in the region as well as the highly eminent bass queen of Ireland - EMA! Best of all? IT’S COMPLETELY FREE!!

“For the artwork of this release, it was only natural to focus on capturing the industrial essence of Malmö, while drawing on vibrant elements to meet the colourful yet cold soundscapes as found on the EP. Although our eyes were especially drawn to Beijer’s Bridge for its bright red hue and geometrically playful appearance (and simply for being a bridge), we gathered a lot of material that would be a shame to leave out. These are some of the take-outs that were drawn to our attention. All pictures were captured in the central-west docks area of Malmö, an area in current re-shaping with a focus on re-imagining industrial structures in an urban living-environment.

As for the music, the fundamental idea of the EP was very much centred around the core of the label; dubstep, dark garage and breaks inspired by the early sound of the new millennium. This comes quite natural to me as my approach to production has always been to push things forward with contemporary tools and sounds while paying attention to the founding structures of the genres and soundscapes I move within. However, the word Bridges also came to be a guiding concept throughout the creation of the EP – in part to form a bridge between contemporary bass music and sounds of the FWD era, but also as a concept to sonically illustrate the geographic distance between myself and where the scene is largely taking place. Being an “agent” of UK style sounds in the south of Scandinavia, where other sounds are historically more prominent, should result in a different sounding output. While I personally find it hard to judge if that’s the case, I still find it important to try to conceptualize that idea in my productions. In the world of internet and globalism where accessibility to music is essentially infinite, geographically rooted sounds and scenes are to some extent in decay. As such I want to reflect on how I’m creatively influenced by my surroundings and direct that into my music. Hopefully there are parts of this to be found on the EP, or perhaps it’s for further exploration – the intention is there nonetheless" by @mod.sens
