🏆 Shamelessly celebrating ourselves! 🏆 (two weeks late*)

I am so proud of our team to win BOTH categories that we were finalists in at the Essex @thesmallbusinessawards 🎉🎉🎉

💫 We were up against incredible companies in both categories and I never for one second thought we would achieve this, so I really want to celebrate by putting up a post.... but my internal voice has told me for the last fortnight that it is too obnoxious and showy off 🙈

But I also know that we might only celebrate the double whammy once and I'll be frustrated I didn't post it 🤣 so.... here we are!

📢 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘅 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯/𝟮𝟰 📢

📢 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘅 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯/𝟮𝟰 📢

🩵 Thank you to all the customers who nominated us in the first place, the judges getting us to the finals, the judges in the final categories and of course, all of the customers who helped us in the public vote! 🥰

We promise to continue providing excellent, honest work, to deserve our customer service reputation and to carry on improving our processes to always be as efficient and helpful as possible.

📍@torquemonkeyuk

Ps Spy my growing wall of awards in the background in the office now 🤣😅

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!

UK Top Garage Awards Evening 2023 🏆

We had an absolute blast last night at our first Motor awards evening! I still can't believe that we actually made it far enough to join some proper bigwigs in the industry 🤯

👩🏻‍🔧 I have come away with so many ideas, so many areas I want to increase our knowledge and skill and a real passion for competing.

(Just remind me of that last part when my hands are shaking, I have all the butterflies in my stomach and I can't remember how to breathe!!)

🎉 We would like to thank the sponsors for a great day and evening @snapon_uk @topdonuk @delphitech_ @bookmygarage
@youralldatateam @vwgtps
@motul_uk @aftermarketmagazine @premiermottraining and Techman 🍷🍾🍽 And a special mention to all of the judges that worked all day back to back and made me feel slightly less completely terrified when it was my turn!

A HUGE congratulations to all of the winners and runners up. As (I believe) the only newbie garage to the awards this year, I can genuinely say that every person we met last night was so welcoming and friendly and I am looking forward to keeping in touch 🥰

❤️ Grandad John, this one's for you ❤️

Hi I'm Miriam and I run Mod A Mini alongside the hubby himself, Jon 👋🏻 we have a Basenji puppy called Cooper and I will never not give up pestering for another one day 🤣

✨️ We started Mod A Mini from our living room in a tiny one bed flat a few years after we got married, selling and listing MINI parts in the evenings for some pocket money to go owards our own R53.

🎀 Fast forward a few years and we are now run out of our garage Torque Monkey in the city of Chelmsford, Essex. We offer fitting for all parts at the garage, as well as general maintenance, MOTs and servicing. We absolutely love MINIs (obvs!!) but our mechanic Tim has experience in a range of performance vehicles - including several of his own MR2 turbos - so anything and everything is welcome 😊

🧩 I thought I would do a little intro post for all our new followers and also to remind the OGs that I am still alive despite not posting regularly 🙈 this will be pinned to the top of our Instagram page so our details can be found without scrolling forever 😅

I promise we won't bite.... well unless you want to pay extra 😜

In all seriousness, we have had a few cars in recently that have reported knocking noises and were not the horrific, expensive fixes that their owners imagined!

Keep your car healthy and your bank balance happy by getting things checked as soon as they appear ❤️

📞 Give us a call on 01245 698027 to get one of our 15 minute diagnostic appointments ✨️

Don't forget guys, Tim is away on a well deserved holiday this week (18th May ~ 26th May) so it will be just Jon and Miriam (and by default, Rockie 🤣) assisting you at both the @torquemonkeyuk and @mod_a_mini 😘

Miriam will be on her own in the office, so if you are able to get in touch via email it would be much appreciated! If not, please still give us a call on 01245 698027!

Jon is feeling a lil bit fancy so any bronze or silver services that we can squeeze in the remaining appointments on Tuesday 19th or Thursday 21st will get a whooping 50% off on labour 🤯

** Aka repaying you guys for making it worth him getting his workshop clothes dirty and making sure we dont skive off early 🤣🤣

3 DAYS TO GO!!! 🎉🤪

Thank you so so so much for everyone's generosity over the last few weeks helping us towards our fund-raising goal for the @ehaat_ ❤️

We have been collecting a lot of cash donations from our lovely customers who visit the garage and will be paying them in tomorrow to go towards our target!

We are so so so close to our target which means we are cheekily posting again, any donation no matter how small is so gratefully recieved!! Please help push us over the goal 🎉

This is a charity close to our hearts and a charity that anyone could need unexpectedly to save their lives 🫶🏻❤️

Link is in our bio and on today's story! ❤️

6 years… and a lot has changed 👶❤️

🥳 Happy birthday to Torque Monkey 🥳

From realllly long days and nights in the workshop...
To building something we’re really proud of…
To now adding a tiny new team member to the mix 🍼

If you’ve ever supported us — thank you. It means more than you probably realise 🫶

And this isn't even an April Fools! Although 1st April 2020 I think we wished it was 😂😂

One of the topics that came up at our visit yesterday at @theperformanceco was popular product lines and potential reasons people might hold back from big purchases.

Well between us, I think we might have come up with the best plan... BUT I NEED YOUR HELP!!!

What products would be your "dream purchases" ?? I am manning the inboxes today so please DM me (or you can leave a comment on here!) and between me, Emily and Kayleigh, we can make some magic happen in March and April! 😎

Let me assure you, it will be worth the time you take to send us some messages! 😉
