This Friday at Dalston Den, Breakaway is back for another break-biased, unapologetically underground showcase of dance music.

We’ll be featuring no more than 5 special guests this time around, with LayKus, Glitch, JV and MOD R all joining our resident Mancunian, Dave Zhu!

They’ll be bringing the Breaks, Hardcore, Jungle, Jungletek, Darkside, Rollers and Minimal to the basement this week, showcasing a variety of old and new school.

Get down early, bring your friends and enjoy what we think is the best sound system in Dalston :)

—collection of pictures of trees / foliage I have taken to accompany new song named after a tree—

Fortingall Yew is Scotland's oldest tree - I think I made this track around 3 years ago, which isn't as old as the tree, the tree is MUCH older by about 5,000 years. (very old!)

Anyway, floaty arps, modulated subs, and field recordings transport you to the center of this old af tree. Go listen wherever you listen to music, link in da bio :) add it to that playlist you've not maintained in ages for chilled ambient bits

A small scheduling mix up (aka I forgot) means this August single is being shared now :) but it is still the August single in spirit 🙏 by @modr_dave

Another month another single! A day late on sharing because I thought there were 31 days in June whoops 🙃

'Only Dream I Needed' out now everywhere - bumpy bass, breaks, chords and all the good bits.

Life a little busy rn but still very much enjoying the challenge of getting tracks out into the world regularly 🌎

Dick Dastardly, Penelope Pitstop, Peter Perfect...the evergreen memories of the wacky races crew live rent free in my mind. So here's a breaky jungle track inspired by those memories.

One of my personal favourites so far :)
