A love letter to New York. 💌

You were fast, sometimes windy and cold and often quite rude. Yet there are many parts of you to love like Christ would. From Queens to Brooklyn to Manhattan to Long Island, you helped me to see why spreading the Gospel matters. You taught me to see what patience from Christ looks like. You taught me to serve with love and joy perfected in the midst of suffering. You helped me see diversity and beauty within the city from train and bus rides to long walks to van drives with a Man named Dave. For that I am thankful.

Yet behind the scenes in private I was crushed and pruned by the Lord. I had to step back and consider the wonders of this trip which is what He wanted to show me. It required a lot of surrender, patience and observation. I grew a lot spiritually mature throughout all of it and left with a lot of wisdom from the Lord. Thank you Jesus for what you did and are still doing in New York. Thank you to Team New York and my amazing leaders, thank you to our amazing contact, thank you to the MCs and Captain that joined us the second week, thank you to ORU missions for send this pioneer trip to love the city like Jesus. And lastly Thank you New York for letting us serve you.

It’s a gift to exist the same as you, with strength and honour let that sink in. HALLELUJAH!

GUYS, I have an important announcement!!!!

It’s Nicko’s birthday today!!! He is one of the
most sweetest friends i have ever met. He reflects the heart of Jesus so purely. He loves sacrificially and gently. He listens intentionality and guides with wisdom from the Lord. He extends grace when it’s undeserved and forgives without hesitation. He serves wholeheartedly and trusts the Lord in all His ways. I honour you and all that you are. it is a joy to be called one of your best friends.
You are a gift to exist from the Lord and it’s a gift to exist the same time as you. You are worth celebrating as it is so easy. Happy birthday space cowboy.
