Every athlete representing their country deserves to be unified under one team outfit.

For the 2026 Arab Championships in Syria this October, we've put together a small team to represent Palestine and remind the cycling world of Palestine's presence in the sport.

Thanks to the generosity of our friends and the cycling community for helping us make this possible.
About the design

The design is built around a subtle Palestinian identity rather than obvious national symbolism. Sand and olive define the overall look, while the Palestinian details reveal themselves more closely.

A tonal olive branch at around 45% opacity acts as the main visual motif, while traditional Palestinian textile patterns are used sparingly in areas such as the sleeve cuff and rear. They add a reference to Palestinian cultural heritage without making the kit overly decorative.

We started our day with a walk on the corniche, looking at the sea, remembering Alba.

Alba was beautiful. I hadn't anticipated such beauty from such a small baby. But she also had a fierceness that made it clear she already knew exactly who she was, and that she wouldn’t hesitate to put us in our place.

I was looking for small Lebanese or Palestinian charities to donate to to mark her 3rd anniversary and I couldn't help but imagine she'd remind me the civil war in Sudan continues, and so many people are still caught in its crossfire, often unseen and unheard.

So this year in Alba's memory we have donated to Sadagaat Charity Organization, a grassroots organisation supporting vulnerable groups in Sudan.

This one was totally different from last week's self-supported loop through Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan.

Back in March, a friend and I had the opportunity thanks to OSH ( Our Second Home) to help develop a group of young future cycling leaders. Our goal was to equip them with the skills to lead and teach others one day. I focused on sharing knowledge in route plotting, adventure planning, ride leading and bike mechanics.

We ran two trips: one in May towards the Surrey hills and another this past weekend (July). On these trips, we plotted our own routes, scouted them, and eventually camped overnight. These are the kinds of experiences that help build the confidence and skills needed for independent travel and hopefully. one day, travel beyond borders.

The group consists of young people aged 16-25, from a variety of backgrounds and abilities, all of whom are new to the UK and making it their second home.

We were lucky to source bikes, generously donated by @the_bikeproject and @upe @upcycleldn_ Additional to some ride skills and mechanics by @upcycle as well. Thanks to my friend Zeina @zazubazu on route reconnaissance support and @hanjad90 for everything else support. by @mofkeys

The Bike Project went racing... Refugees, staff, and volunteers all took on the Via Criterium community race.

Donated and refurbished bikes were put to the test under full racing stress.

Brooks Factory Opened Doors - Smethwick
Part 01

Snuck into the Brooks factory during the workers lunch break with my friend Dana.

Without the usual tour restrictions, we got a rare, behind the scenes look and had the chance to connect more closely with some of the 16 workers. It's one of the very few factories in England still making bike parts and saddles using hand operated machines since 1866. a real glimpse into a fading craft just a few steps from where I live. taken in Brooks England by @mofkeys
