We visited @_lightroomldn to see @davidbowie you’re not alone - there was lots of rare footage layered, collaged and projected in that huge immersive space.

Andrea was wearing it, then Mark modelled it - shows how great it looks on every body.

When I was about 12, my friend’s Dad generously bought us a 6ft square of fake wood effect lino.

As well as practicing in their garage, we’d roll it up and carry it on our shoulders, on a Friday night, week after week, to our youth club about a mile away. A simple goal - try to get good at some of these amazing new breakdance moves we’d begun to see NB: the youth club had crash mats so with the lino on top we could try more adventurous things without ruining ourselves…

I was a teenage b-boy.

Most certainly not a breakdancer these days but ever since I have never not loved dancing, or if ‘dancing’ is a stretch, moving to music.

I’ve recently been playing with @touchdesigner after taking a brilliant intro course with @neurotypique @module.exchange.france

Randomly I recorded this dude (me) shocking out in the studio earlier this year so thought I’d see what happened when I ran the clip thought the software, added midi controls, repetitions and offsets to the colours.

Pretty fun results. As well as dancing I’ve always loved mis-registered print. There are loose plans afoot to collaborate with some skilled movers I know, we’ll see what happens.

Keep moving. Keep learning. Stay supple.

In June, over three days, I hosted six collage workshops @mybcu for @designfestbrum.

Among a host of amazing speakers the festival presented a talk by @nelliescott_db from @coritaartcenter in LA. When we knew Nelly was coming we decided the workshops would utilise the cube technique pioneered by Sister Corita Kent with her students as the basis for the analogue collage making.

The cubes were a great format to work with and starting with my lone prototype, over the three days, we created a dynamic and evolving wall of collage.

It was a busy but super creative few days with really lovely folk joining me at the table.

Big thanks to everyone that came along and also @inksquasher and @blipzbyxanthe for their wonderful support.

Unstuck experiment from August 2024.

This was one of the first pieces that led to my ongoing edges series…

A2 vintage paper on acid free card. the background is stuck but the type and solid black not.

Came across this whilst looking for something else and enjoyed the use of type. I may return to this kind of approach.

Always a treat to get original work framed.

This is a small work from ‘edges’ that I submitted for inclusion in the RA summer show 2026 - it didn’t get selected. I really like it and got it framed regardless.

Earlier this year, Tom Hicks - @blackcountrytype invited me to make some works from his extensive photo archives, to be included in his show ‘Ay it’ at BCU @parkside.gallery.

I created these two collage remix works.

We decided to do a limited edition giclée print of them both.
