Waters of Body is a multimedia exhibition exploring trans bodies, trans care and trans myth. We offer it as a place of damp stillness or memory. The show primarily features Portland artists @art.by.yanasternbergermoye, @mollyalloy and @michaelespinozaart alongside the Transmissions Quilts Project. Transmissions makes quilts for trans and gender-queer people around the country. Waters of Body features quilts made by and for trans Portlanders, led by @part.heaven and @f__agate.

Waters of Body is free and on view to the public Monday - Saturday, 10-4pm.
September 4 - October 26, 2025
Located in the Ed Cauduro & Dane Nelson Collection Studies Labs, rooms 137 and 138

New work in the works 🪵✨
.
Image of a large driftwood log standing vertically, its remnant root forms making a pelvis-like socket at the top. A pair of black leather chaps, which have been carved into strips and hand stitched back together in undulating parallel lines with grey sinew, are buckled onto the log, wrapped around it, and jammed into its crevices. Late afternoon sun glints through a sliver of window at the top of the image. by @mollyalloy

Loved ones!! I keep meaning to post a video update but I’m TOO BUSY BEING ALIVE!! I was approved to swim a couple weeks ago after almost 7 months of wound care and now I’m even more flabbergasted than ever that I’m alive. And I feel amazing! And my hair!!

Love you all!!! 🩵💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵 by @mollyalloy

Today we celebrate the birth of this incredible being. It’s hard to believe their light is not walking the earth anymore, but it still shines. What a profound gift it is to be among those who got to know you in this life. Love you, Jeremy 💕✨🌸 by @mollyalloy
