Here’s a collection of snapshots from yesterday sunrise to moonrise as a reminder to everyone that we can insist on enjoying life, despite seemingly negative circumstances.
(I say this, knowing full well that there are many many in the world whose circumstances are far worse than mine, and I don’t intend for that statement to come across as insensitive toanyone’s plight. I do believe however, that we can seek to overcome the suffering by acknowledging it and choosing to harvest as much joy as we can in each and every moment)

Join us at Studio 516 with Molly this Saturday at 1pm.
The Studio with be open from 12-3pm for visitors. Bring an offering for the Bear as we build an alter to remember, appreciate, and give respect to all living beings.

This Bear was rescued from storage of a shuttered Museum and now in this art altar we take a moment together with the Bear and Molly to remember and give our respect to those living beings that have been forgotten in storage and archives that deserve respect for the lives they lived. We also acknowledge our responsibility to do better in our organizations, and our institutions and all spaces to give respect to both the living and the dead.

Only a few more days to see this wonderful show!

Waters of Body is a multimedia exhibition exploring trans bodies, trans care and trans myth. We offer it as a place of damp stillness or memory. The show primarily features Portland artists @art.by.yanasternbergermoye, @mollyalloy and @michaelespinozaart alongside the Transmissions Quilts Project. Transmissions makes quilts for trans and gender-queer people around the country. Waters of Body features quilts made by and for trans Portlanders, led by @part.heaven and @f__agate.

Waters of Body is free and on view to the public Monday - Saturday, 10-4pm.
