Thankful for every breath in this journey—the opening of @jazzfestival_saalfelden . Special thanks to the festival team for making it possible. ❤️🙏🏽 A tapestry of emotions, woven with joy, support, trust, bonding, healing, love, nature, and music, came together beautifully. So grateful for the magic that @lou_zon , @dorian_concept and #manumayr brought to my life and to the stage; every moment felt like a celebration. It brought a pure sense of being a child again. After sleepless nights and unforgettable experiences , such a perfect ending to the year… goodbye 33, hello 34.🪐👽🪄🫀

Thanks and love to @pouranparvizi_ for the full look suit. Photos :1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9 by @matthiasheschl_com and slides :5,9 Manfred Wimmer taken in Jazzfestival Saalfelden by @monamriahi

It’s such an overwhelming feeling for us(@naqsh.duo) to be featured on this post and in the last film of our legendary director, #abbaskiarostami , 24 Frames.

An icon of post-revolutionary Iranian cinema beloved by cinephiles the world over, Abbas Kiarostami's minimalist films capture the miracles and mysteries of everyday life. "Close-up on Kiarostami" begins with WHERE IS THE FRIEND'S HOME. #NowShowing in 🇦🇹🇦🇺🇧🇪🇨🇭🇩🇰🇪🇸🇫🇮🇫🇷🇳🇱🇳🇴🇵🇭🇵🇱🇵🇹🇷🇴🇸🇪 +⠀

ιηтσ ∂υѕт is out today 🌬
… it has been such a pleasure working on this song over the last 2 years. on this one everything fell into place. after having recorded strings, horns & @friedemerz 's vocals, I knew for the first time what our album was going to sound like.
my dear friend @beate_wiesinger completely rocked the bassline, @anja.f.plaschg added a layer of immensely beautiful vocals and @alex___krana a magical interlude on alto horn.
+ more dreamy horn sounds by @monamriahi & @ahmostgimmr
+ exquisite strings by florian sighartner, @noxom__ , @mlestew , @lukaslauermann & carles muñoz camarero
+ the best artwork by @studio___low
+ @mnphb.mp3 (mix) & @mischa.janisch (master) took care of every detail very lovingly.
we all did. 🤍 by @monamriahi

We are delighted to introduce the first jury member of the HASTAM Music Award 2026:

Mona Matbou Riahi is an Iranian-born, Vienna-based clarinetist, composer, and improviser whose fearless artistic vision has established her as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary European music.

Praised by Citizen Jazz as “one of the European voices that already matter and will continue to do so in the years to come,” and described by The Free Jazz Collective as “a tether to the mortal realm,” Mona is internationally recognized for her deeply expressive performances and boundless sonic imagination.

Blending contemporary and classical music with improvisation, electronics, and experimental techniques, she creates immersive musical worlds that transcend genres. Since moving from Tehran to Vienna at the age of 17, she has performed at leading international festivals and prestigious concert halls, collaborating with dancers, actors, and multimedia artists. Since 2016, she has also been part of the legendary ECM Records family with her album Narrante.

We are truly honored to welcome Mona Matbou Riahi as the first jury member of the HASTAM Music Award.

Oktober.
