مين المسؤول عن حركة الكاميرا في المشاهد السينمائية؟ 🎬

الشخص ده اسمه Dolly Grip، وهو أحد أفراد فريق الـ Grip في التصوير السينمائي.

وظيفته مش مجرد تحريك عربة الكاميرا!

هو المسؤول عن تحريك الـ Dolly على القضبان بسلاسة، والتحكم في سرعتها وتوقيت حركتها بدقة.

ولازم ينسّق مع مشغّل الكاميرا والـ Focus Puller، عشان كل حركة تحصل في التوقيت المناسب، ويقدر يكرر نفس الحركة في كل Take.

لأن حركة كاميرا بسيطة ممكن يكون وراها تنسيق فريق كامل! 🎥

Their job is more than just moving the camera dolly!

They control the dolly’s speed, timing, and smooth movement along the tracks.

Working closely with the Camera Operator and Focus Puller, they help execute precise, repeatable camera moves for every take.

ليه فيه شخص في موقع التصوير مهمته بس يتحكّم في الفوكس؟ 🎬

الفوكس (Focus) هو ضبط وضوح الشخص أو العنصر المطلوب في الصورة.

الـ Focus Puller (1st AC) مسؤول عن الحفاظ على الوضوح مع حركة الممثل، أو نقل الفوكس من شخص للتاني لتوجيه انتباه المشاهد.

المهمة بتصعب مع فتحات العدسة الواسعة زي f/1.4، لأنها بتخلّي الخلفية ضبابية ومساحة الوضوح أضيق، فأي حركة بسيطة ممكن تخرج الممثل من الفوكس.

عشان كده بيستخدم جهاز Wireless Follow Focus للتحكّم في فوكس العدسة عن بُعد.

والوظيفة دي ممكن تكون خطوة في طريق الاحتراف كمصور أو مدير تصوير (DOP). 🎥

Why does a film set need a dedicated Focus Puller? 🎬

Focus determines which subject appears sharp and clear in the frame.

The Focus Puller (1st AC) keeps actors in focus as they move and shifts focus between subjects to guide the audience’s attention.

Wide apertures like f/1.4 create a shallower depth of field and blurrier backgrounds, making precise focusing more challenging.

Using a Wireless Follow Focus system, they adjust the lens focus remotely throughout the shot.

Focus pulling can also be a stepping stone toward becoming a Camera Operator or Director of Photography (DOP). 🎥

إزاي الكاميرا تدخل داخل سيارة وتكشف شخصية في الجهة المقابلة في لقطة واحدة؟ 🎬

باستخدام Camera Crane / Jib مثبت على Dolly Track، بتتحرك الكاميرا بسلاسة لحد ما تدخل داخل السيارة.

ومع استمرار الحركة، بيتحوّل الكادر لمنظور من داخل السيارة، وتظهر الشخصية في الجهة المقابلة وهي تنزل من سيارة أخرى وتبدأ في الكلام.

الحركة دي بتعمل ما يُعرف بـ Reveal Shot – لقطة الكشف، وهي تقنية سينمائية بيكون فيها الشخص أو العنصر المهم غير ظاهر في بداية اللقطة، ثم تكشفه حركة الكاميرا تدريجيًا.

هنا حركة الكاميرا مش مجرد شكل جمالي؛ هي جزء من سرد المشهد، لأنها بتوجّه عين المشاهد وتكشف الشخصية في التوقيت المطلوب. 🎥

How does the camera move inside a car and reveal a character on the opposite side in one continuous shot? 🎬

Using a Camera Crane / Jib mounted on a Dolly Track, the camera moves smoothly into the car.

As the movement continues, the framing shifts to a perspective from inside the car, revealing the character on the opposite side as they step out of another vehicle and begin speaking.

This creates what’s known as a Reveal Shot — a cinematic technique where a person or important element is initially hidden from the viewer and gradually revealed through camera movement.

Here, the camera movement isn’t just for visual effect; it becomes part of the storytelling, guiding the viewer’s attention and revealing the character at the right moment. 🎥

ليه بيستخدموا قماش أبيض وأسود في إضاءة التصوير؟ 🎬

القماش الأبيض (Diffusion) بينعّم الضوء وبيقلّل حدة الظلال.

أما القماش الأسود (Flag)، فهو حاجز للضوء، بيمنع الإضاءة من الوصول لمناطق مش مطلوبة وبيساعد في التحكم في انتشارها.

وميل الـFlag هنا بيساعد على قصّ الضوء من زاوية محددة، بحيث يفضل الضوء على المنطقة المطلوبة بدل ما ينتشر في باقي المكان.

في التصوير، التحكم في الإضاءة مش بس بإضافة النور… لكن كمان بمعرفة فين تمنعه. 🎥

Why do filmmakers use white and black fabric to control lighting? 🎬

The white fabric (Diffusion) softens the light and reduces harsh shadows.

The black fabric (Flag) acts as a light blocker, preventing light from reaching unwanted areas and helping control its spread.

Here, the Flag is angled to cut the light from a specific direction, keeping it on the intended area instead of letting it spill across the set.

إزاي بيتصوّر مشهد سيارة بالليل؟ 🎬

في اللقطة الواسعة، الكرين بينزل بالكاميرا بسلاسة من فوق لحد مستوى السيارة، والإضاءة متقسّمة لأربع مصادر:

١. إضاءة علوية بقماش أبيض، بتدي نور ناعم وتساعد في تشكيل الانعكاسات على جسم السيارة.

٢. إضاءة بتغيّر بين الأحمر والأزرق، عشان تحاكي أنوار دورية المرور وانعكاسها على السيارة والشارع.

٣. إضاءة جانبية، بتنور السيارة وهي جاية عشان تفاصيلها تبان.

٤. إضاءة للخلفية، بتظهر تفاصيل المكان وتدي عمق للّقطة.

How do you film a car scene at night? 🎬

In the wide shot, the crane smoothly lowers the camera from a high angle to car level. Four light sources shape the scene:

1. An overhead light with white diffusion provides soft illumination and helps shape reflections on the car’s body.
2. A light alternating between red and blue simulates police lights and their reflections on the car and street.
3. A side light illuminates the approaching car, bringing out its details.
4. A background light reveals the surroundings and adds depth to the shot.

مدير التصوير… إيه دوره ورا الكاميرا؟ 🎬

بالتعاون مع المخرج، بيحوّل رؤية المشهد لصورة: من اختيار العدسات وزوايا الكاميرا وحركتها، لتحديد شكل الإضاءة مع فريقه.

طيب ليه قاعد على المنصة دي؟
دي اسمها «دوللي» (Dolly)، مثبّت عليها الكاميرا وكرسي للمصوّر، وبتتحرّك على سكة عشان حركة الكاميرا تطلع ناعمة وثابتة.

وهنا هو بيتولّى تشغيل الكاميرا بنفسه، فبيتحرّك معاها ويتابع الكادر ويوجّهها أثناء اللقطة.

What does a Director of Photography do behind the camera? 🎬

Working with the director, the DOP translates the scene’s vision into images—from choosing lenses, camera angles and movement to shaping the lighting with the crew.

So why is he sitting on this platform?
It’s called a dolly. It carries the camera and a seat for the operator, moving along tracks for smooth, steady camera movement.

Here, the DOP is also operating the camera himself, riding with it to monitor the framing and guide its movement during the shot.

️ليه كل الإضاءة دي والشمس موجودة؟ ☀

في تصوير المشاهد داخل العربية، وجود الشمس لوحده مش كفاية؛ لازم نتحكّم في اتجاه النور وشدّته وانعكاساته.

القماش الأبيض الكبير فوق بينعّم ضوء الشمس، والأسود بيقلّل النور المرتد وانعكاسات المحيط.

الكشافات بتضيف نور من اتجاه محدّد، وفريمات الديفيوجن قدّامها بتنعّم الضوء اللي بيعدّي من خلالها.

أما السكاي بانل فمستخدم هنا كـ Fill Light: إضاءة تكميلية لتنوير تفاصيل داخل العربية

Why all these lights when the sun is already out? ☀️

When filming inside a car, sunlight alone isn’t enough. The crew needs to control the light’s direction, intensity, and reflections.

The large overhead diffusion softens sunlight, while the black fabric reduces bounced light and reflections from the surroundings.

The spotlights add light from specific directions, and the diffusion frames soften the light passing through them.

The SkyPanel is used here as a fill light, providing additional illumination for details inside the car.

عشان نخفّف الظلال في الأجزاء السفلية، ونبرز تفاصيل زي الإطارات والصدام الأمامي بانعكاس ناعم.

الفرق مش في قوة النور بس… مكانه وزاويته بيغيّروا النتيجة.

Why place a light close to the ground? 💡

To soften shadows on the lower parts of the car and bring out details like the tires and front bumper with soft reflections.

It’s not just about brightness… the light’s position and angle change the result.

إزاي بيتحكّموا في إضاءات موقع التصوير من مكان واحد؟

ده جهاز اسمه Gaffers Control.
منه فريق الإضاءة يقدر يغيّر شدة النور، ودرجة حرارة اللون من دافي لبارد، وحتى يختار ألوان مختلفة حسب إمكانيات كل كشاف.

بدل ما يروحوا لكل كشاف لوحده، بيظبطوا الإضاءات المتوصّلة بالجهاز من هنا… وده بيوفّر وقت وبيسهّل التعديل بين اللقطات.

How do they control the lights on a film set from one place?

This is Gaffers Control.
It lets the lighting crew adjust brightness, change the color temperature from warm to cool, and select different colors depending on each light’s capabilities.

Instead of adjusting every light individually, they control the connected lights from here—saving time and making adjustments easier between shots.
