1.9 BILLION DOLLARS

That's the reported debt OWED to Florida A&M from the State of Florida.

1.9 BILLION DOLLARS

One candidate said PAY THE BILL.
The other candidate said he will look into it.

One candidate has committed IN WRITING in a survey that he will fight for FAMU and has outlined how.

The other candidate didn't even respond.

1.9 BILLION DOLLARS.

"PAY THE BILL."

No ifs.
No, I haven't read the study.
No, I cant make any commitments.

Three words- Pay the Bill.

Those three words acknowledged FAMUs history, it's excellence, it's ability to do so much with so little.

FAMU is due that 1.9 Billion dollars. Full. Stop. There is no if about it.

Pay. The. Bill.

Race-based hiring is a political controversy. Race-based voting? Suddenly, it's representation. 👀

Florida, the governor's office isn't a symbolic position. The decisions made there affect education, healthcare, housing, and your future.

Don't sit out the hiring decision. Examine the records. Challenge the promises. Make your voice heard at the ballot box.

November 3 is Election Day. Early voting begins October 24. Make a plan to vote!

It's been almost two weeks since Byron Donalds sat on the stage in Lee Hall on the campus of Florida A&M University. He said many things that troubled me, but his comments defending the Supreme Court's decision in Shelby v. Holder? I've not been able to get them out of my head.

Of all places to defend Shelby County v. Holder, to defend the decision on the campus of Florida A&M University, an institution whose very existence is rooted in the fight for educational opportunity and equality.

Florida deserves leadership that understands its history, respects its diversity, and recognizes that protecting democracy means protecting EVERYONE'S right to participate.

When someone tells you where they stand on protecting your right to vote, BELIEVE THEM.
