It’s an early HBD celebration! Excited to have booked my first NBC Co-Star role. It’s crazy to think I started my acting journey only two years ago and walked on my very first set as an extra on Chicago Fire. I walked off set that day and was officially hooked and thought to myself, “ that was amazing but how do I get to be the other guys! ” Well…two years of hustling and learning how to get into the business and meeting @lakefrontpictures along the way has helped paved my acting career into something I could only of dreamed of and now I’m living it! XC is not for the faint of heart literally or figuratively. 🏃‍♂️💨

Watching Lukas grow in this sport from the fourth grade until now, as a high school freshman, has shown me that cross country isn’t just a sport. It’s a lifestyle. It requires discipline, determination, mental stamina, agility, and heavy strength training.

The best part? Every single one of those lessons carries right over into his everyday life. It’s a wonderful sport, and what these athletes push their bodies to do is absolutely wild! So proud of his dedication. 🤎 by @monie_reez

I can’t even begin to describe how much I still miss you, how much we all still miss you, Dad. Today marks 4 years since you left our world for the next, where I know we will be together again.

Grief is such a strange thing. People tell you that time makes it better and that you’ll learn to move on. While parts of that are true, there is still an empty space in our hearts that never quite goes away. I still get sad. It’s not all the time, but there are moments when little reminders of your essence catch me, and I just wish I could hug you or hear you chuckle at another one of your wise-ass comments. I long to have another talk about my day, or to share another hazelnut coffee made by you with a dash of cinnamon. I miss you calling downstairs, “Monie, hurry, your coffee is getting cold.”

You were such an integral part of my life. I will never forget you, and I continue to hold onto your memories as if they happened just yesterday. Thank you for being my foundation and my rock. Thank you for being the man I looked up to, showing me what a truly wonderful, honorable man looks like. I miss you so much, Dad, and I hope you are at peace with Grandma and Grandpa. Officially 40. 🤍✨

40 years of life, lessons, laughter, heartbreak, growth, beautiful memories, and becoming.

I’ve loved deeply, lost people I wish I could still hug, built a family, chased dreams, changed directions, started over, and somehow found my way through every version of me.

And today, I’m not wishing for a younger me.

I’m grateful for HER… because she got me here.

Here’s to 40, to the woman I am, the life I’ve created, and everything still waiting for me. 🥂✨
