Rosie
Tonight,
To bathe you.
By your side,
To be there with you.
Beneath your skin,
To see your heart beating.
Each one of your fingers in mine,
To hold your hands and feel.
Your head leaned into my hand,
To take my fingers and run them through your hair.
I love you,
So much my heart is breaking.

I have so many poems for you
I miss you so much by @monniloves

When we asked Nelly from Wild Earth Perfume what matters most when she’s crafting a fragrance, she said it always starts with a feeling, before the technical side even comes into it. She’s chasing an emotional response: something that makes you pause, breathe a little deeper, feel something.

She told us one of her biggest lessons has been learning to trust herself and the value of what she creates, letting Wild Earth grow slowly and organically, rather than measuring it against anyone else’s path.

That care is exactly why we’re proud to name Nelly our Maker of the Month. Thank you for sharing your world with us, Nelly, and to everyone who’s entered the giveaway, good luck! Winner announced tonight ✨ by @monniloves

A little story as to why these three Maunga are so special…

Original fine-line artwork

Ruapehu, Ngāuruhoe and Tongariro, rising from the central plateau in the quiet, considered way.

For Ngāti Tūwharetoa, these maunga are not simply mountains. They are ancestors, carrying whakapapa and a relationship with the land that stretches back across generations.

In 1887, paramount chief Horonuku Te Heuheu Tūkino IV gifted the peaks to the people of New Zealand, an act of kaitiakitanga that created Tongariro National Park, the first in Aotearoa and the fourth in the world. In 1993, it became the first place on earth to hold dual UNESCO World Heritage status, recognised for its landscape and its cultural significance both. A reminder that land and the people connected to it cannot truly be separated.

Flat surf, champagne gravel & blue bird skies. The most epic ride around Mt Karioi today. Has to be one of the most beautiful rides in the world. Fingers crossed for plenty more days like this & waves for the WSL. 🤙🏼

P.S. Huge thanks to the @cycleryraglan for sorting my brakes & for the bike chat.

We first connected in Monni’s store, a sanctuary for the mind, body and soul, and home to MONNI prints, plant paintings and natural fibre clothing.

All along, the intention was to create.
Eventually this lead us into the Arctic Circle, chasing midnight golden hours and fields of wild cloudberries.

In all its beautiful absurdity - the sun that never set, the wild berries, the dramatic landscapes, picturesque bridges, and smattering of islands - Lofoten still felt undeniably reminiscent of home.

Maybe it was the vastly unpopulated coastlines, the tempered spirit of the people, and the sense of magic. Both, even now, feel somewhat like a secret land where the physical world sits closer to the veil.

It was here, maddened by the absence of circadian rhythms and besotted with beauty, that we photographed visualisers for Monni’s new collection and Pianika’s new music. by @monniloves

Own what is yours and leave what isn’t in all ways ✨ by @monniloves

Gutted to be sidelined for today’s storm swell — work & sickness had other plans. 🌊

Still riding the high from a northland strike mission a few weeks back though. Empty lines, solid waves, fresh mussels straight off the rocks, plenty of vitamin D, and proper Kiwi hospitality. One for the books. 🤙🏼 by @monniloves

Love Story 3:
Monni - Even though we can appreciate and acknowledge the people we love on any day of the year, setting aside a specific day, can be a beautiful reminder to pause.
It invites us to reflect, give thanks, and show appreciation for the person or people we love.

Love, and the acknowledgement of love is such a beautiful thing. Life is full of challenges, emotions and experiences and love has a way of softening, grounding, and connecting us.
For me love is like happiness, it’s a choice, choosing to place our attention on gratitude and love feels like a powerful and meaningful act.

I wanted to share about my little sister, Courtney.
I remember the moment she was born as if it were yesterday. Mum had her at home, in the shower and I stayed up with her through her first night earth side. When Courtney arrived, I loved her already. She had the biggest green eyes, golden hair and the sweetest button nose.

I always felt deeply connected to her. Looking back now, I understand it was our shared sensitivity that allowed me to truly see and understand her, perhaps because I needed the same care too. Courtney experienced the world in her own beautiful way. She was drawn to babies and animals, was the best Auntie and a quiet observer with an artist’s heart. We both loved creating and making.

Courtney taught me about love and care. Through her sensitivity, she showed me how to truly be with others, especially those who feel deeply or move through life differently. She helped me understand that we all exist on a spectrum, each with our own rhythms, challenges and gifts.

She taught me that even the deepest grief can be endured, that grief and love are inseparable - grief is love revealing itself. She taught me faith, resilience and what love looks like when it is steady, patient and fierce.
Courtney taught me that love transcends distance, space, and time. As each day passes, I love her still and I always will.

While I’m here I’d like to acknowledge and show appreciation to my partner Doug. Our relationship has already endured so many seasons; thank you for sharing all the wonderful times with me and enduring the hard times and growing with me.
