The ONE piece that has taken up all of 2026 (so far) is finally finished! If you watch One Piece you know who these interesting characters are, The Beast Pirates. Specifically, the Tobiroppo with Jack, Queen, and King. I love this crew so much and my current deck in One Piece TCG is centered around them so I thought it’d be fun to make a piece to print on a mat. This is probably the longest I’ve worked on a piece but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. What do you guys think? Did you recognize these Dino Pirates? #onepiecetcg #beastpirates #dinosaur #dinosaurart #onepiece by @monsterpaintz

Dimetrodon at Dawn. A watercolor piece based on the iconic Walking with Monsters Dimetrodon. Specifically the mother Dimetrodon after defending her nest from a rival. I always felt so bad for her getting that brutal beatdown, especially after having to guard her nest for 7 months. Though, my sympathy for her faded when she immediately tried to eat her own babies lol

If you’d like to see this piece in person or add it to your collection, you’ll be able to do so at the Dino Show at @giantrobotstore

I’ll probably be making prints of this piece sometime in the future so keep an eye out for that! #walkingwithdinosaurs #dimetrodon #paleoart #watercolor by @monsterpaintz

I finished my first illustration done in copic markers, Godzilla x Zilla! I can’t believe I was ever intimidated by copics. They were so easy and fun to use. I can’t wait for my next marker piece. If you want to see this piece in person you’ll be able to see it at @giantrobotstore for the Reanimated Show! Thank you to Cassia for having me be a part of it. #copic #alcoholmarkers #godzillaart #zilla by @monsterpaintz

One Piece is back!
I used to be a manga reader but took a break after Wano. Since then I have been going into the anime blind. I loved Egghead with all its twists and turns and now I can’t wait to start Elbaph. I hope it pushes me to catch up in the manga. #onepiece #gear5 #elbaph #gear5luffy #onepiecefanart by @monsterpaintz

Last year I didn’t post a lot even though I drew almost everyday (mostly because I didn’t draw dinosaurs all that much) This year will be different. I plan to have way more paleoart to share as well as personal projects that are a little different. Projects like this, Kommando Kitties. I had this project stuck in my mind since 2017! A group of military kittens defend their human friends from unimaginable horrors, all before breakfast. I hope you guys like it! You can see this piece in person in the upcoming Chibi show at @giantrobotstore Thank you to @cassloop for the invite! #watercolor #kitten #commando by @monsterpaintz

Strolling Spinosaurus in Watercolor
This is my submission to the Dinosaur themed exhibition by @giantrobotstore

I had a great time with this piece! Even though it’s inaccurate, I love the JP3 Spinosaurus. This also was one of the larger watercolor pieces I’ve done (8” by 10”) and it felt great to have all that extra space to play with. Dinosaurs look great in watercolor! This piece will be for sale at the show, so if you’re interested, contact the gallery for more details. #spinosaurus #jurassicpark #jurassicworld #dinosaurart #dinovember by @monsterpaintz

I turn 30 today…
That’s weird

In my heart I’m still that kid obsessed with dinosaurs (and I don’t intend to stop) but so much has changed since then. I now have three decades of life experience and every step in that journey has led to who I am now. I dare say I’m proud of who I’ve become and I’m excited for what the future holds.
But no matter what happens I will live by this quote by Ray Bradbury:
“We will grow old, but never grow up, and we will love dinosaurs forever.”

Finally back to work on Brutal Rivals! It feels good to draw elemental dinosaurs again. But what’s different about this piece is that I drew it using Clip Studio. I’ve mostly used Procreate and Photoshop for digital art but CSP might become my new go to. So easy to use but also so many pro tools. What are your favorite digital art programs? #jurassic #dinosaurart #torvosaurus #prehistory #creatureart #clipstudiopaint #csp by @monsterpaintz

From the moment I laid eyes on Rey Dau I fell in love with its design! One of the most amazing Wyverns I’ve ever seen. And it to top it off it’s such a fun hunt! I could not help but paint it in acrylic. What do y’all think of this piece and do you have a favorite wyvern/dragon? #monsterhunterwilds #monsterhunter #wyvern #dragonart #fantasyillustration #fantasyartwork #fantasyillustrator by @monsterpaintz

D is for Deinocheirus! Picking a dino to represent D was hard since there are so many greats to choose from but in the end I chose the giant duck from the Cretaceous. Next up, E…
