New @proofresearch 6mm Creedmoor barrel brake in. AVG 3008.6fps, EXT 43.5fps, STD 12.7fps with 103 ELD-X factory ammo. Very happy with how this is shooting so far. by @monteclarke

The wrong turn buck! Getting pushed out by wolves…twice to a nine hour pack-out, this hunt was EPIC!

We started the trip chasing moose, but after wolves forced us out of two different spots, we shifted gears and headed for the high country. Eight cold days later, we finally turned up a beauty 4 point.

The lesson here is don’t take an exit route you’ve never scouted because it might just turn a normal pack-out into a nine hour suffer fest hahah. And that’s exactly what happened. We rolled into the truck at 4 a.m. super tired and super stoked! by @monteclarke
