Flowing and dancing isn’t about being good, it’s about being ✨ FREE ✨

Started my flow journey in January of this year and it’s wild to me when I see how much I’ve grown in confidence and progressed in musicality. I used to be SO shy, crippled with fear of looking lame because I compared myself to others. But the only difference between someone who’s more skilled is that they started sooner, put in more practice, or just didn’t give a damn about what people think of them.

Festivals are curated “containers”, and every time I go to flow meets, events, and festivals, I come back downloading more. More flow, more freedom, more fun, more connection, and more confidence.

Flowing has really challenged my mind to body connection. Sure, I may still have much to work on for technicality with moves but I realized for a long time, I had almost disassociated from my actual body, feeling like it was just an empty vessel holding my soul. Even as something as minuscule as consciously breathing was difficult for me (thank god for breath work now lol).

I’m so grateful for flow and for all of the talented artists and community for inspiring me to flow freely 🥲 if you’ve ever wanted to explore movement in any capacity, I strongly encourage you to try. You never know, you might access a form of liberation. If I can do it, so can you ❤️‍🔥

Did u see Peteh??? 🐈🎉😻

He’s a multi-prop furry flowmie, is down to clown 🤡 , and is a 140 basshead at heart 😌

Back story:

Some kind guy named Keegan decided to name our cat Peteh and it stuck. Peteh was a normal (naked) cat day 0 and when Keegan saw him again on the third night at Grandma’s house, he was so shocked by his transformation and told all of his friends he named the cat 😂🫶

#SSBD healed me ✨

I’ve connected with each of these beautiful souls individually at different festivals this year and it was truly a full circle moment (literally lol) getting to flow together at @ssbdfest. At one point during @lsdream’s set later that evening, I looked up in awe at the full moon in all its glory as tears streamed down my eyes, thinking to myself in disbelief “wow… these are my friends” 🥹👩🏻‍🐰‍👩🏽❤️‍🔥

The most magical part is that all of my flow fan girlies have a pair of lotus fans 🪷 (which is how I found a lot of them online when I first began flowing this January) Discovering the significance of the lotus flower this year and having the meaning for me evolve throughout my growth has transformed me in so many ways. How this sacred flower emerges untainted from dark and murky waters with the sun and closes back up at night is majestic, with symbolism transcending across cultures and religions — purity, rebirth, spiritual enlightenment and awakening, resilience.

Despite my body feeling exhausted, I’m still basking and glowing from this weekend, reliving my experience. I’m excited to journal and post process it all, closing a chapter and making room for a new era of my journey in this life worth living.

For my SSBD family, may you have a safe trip home with plenty of rest & recovery. I wish you feel rejuvenated and received everything you needed and more 🫂

I remember when you wouldn’t dare dance - dance in front of the mirror to be silly or dance in public. Years later, and a whole flow journey later… here you are dancing out loud ✨

I want to thank my amazing and talented glover friends @edu.k.chen @xerebella @flow.ments for this chapter of Mony’s flow + movement journey!

It makes me SO happy to have found friends like them that have created such a safe space for my Mony to feel empowered to dance with her gloves.

It’s amazing what happens when you have a strong circle to feel safe to explore, without judgment.

Though this isn’t the typical “gloving”, what matters to me most is seeing Mony light up and feel free to be herself! ✨🫰🏻

One of my favorite flow tunnels from @itslostindreams with @slushflows & @alejandraamayra_ 💫

Flownotes: Mayra’s kind friend came up to us and said “I know you’re probably tired, but can you please come flow with my friend Mayra?” — Of course Slush and I couldn’t turn her down 😂

We followed her 15 feet away and found a group of eager baby ravers sitting patiently in a line with their cameras out. (I met a few of them in the daytime and told to come back for their first light show and they were so polite and excited 😆)

We slowly garnered a small crowd of supportive friends and strangers and when the remix with Bieber came on, our millennial hearts knew it was going downnnn 🔥🤩

📝 Flownotes - Last minute send to @itslostindreams for @edu.k.chen’s bday! Had so much fun flowing to melodic bass and kpop after b2b fests filled with heavier dubstep and underground experimental bass aka wookstep 😂 The sadboy edm genre was what got me into edm several years ago and it was refreshing getting to dance to singsongy uplifting lyrical based music again! Got to give a lot of young baby ravers their first #lightshow and it was so cute seeing their reactions 🥰

First time flowing with fire wands! This is technically my second burn and I am soooooo thrilled to continue exploring #fireflow arts 🥹🔥

Thank you to my beautiful friend @sadmoonprincess for hosting her Ultimate Beginner to Fire Flow Workshop! 🥹📝I follow a lot of experienced fire flow artists and as social media has it — we typically only see the highlight reels of beautiful flows. I don’t see many people talking about fire safety and it was really important for me to get educated so I don’t harm myself and others. Taking her workshop really gave me more confidence 🫡

Alsooo, trying out this #flownotes format where I talk over my flows. It’s nice getting to go back and watch with more depth of that moment, sharing a little more behind the flow itself & my thoughts 💭

For years, I dreaded my birthday. I saw it as another reminder of getting older, and I avoided celebrating.

But something shifted recently—mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.

Instead of thinking, “Another year of suffering” or “I’m getting older” I now see:

💕 Another year of more life.
💕 Another year of more love.
💕 Another year of more time.

That perspective changed everything. I found myself genuinely excited leading up to my birthday and deeply grateful for another trip around the sun.☀️

At @electric_forest, @monyflowz surprised me with one of the most meaningful gifts I’ve ever received: ➡️ 35 birthday wishes from my friends and family, each printed on a card.

Reading them filled me with so much love and gratitude.

To everyone who sent their wishes—thank you. 🫶 Thank you for loving every version of me, for seeing me when I couldn’t see myself, and for being part of my journey.

If your birthday has ever felt heavy, if you’ve ever wanted to let the day quietly pass, I hope you know this:

➡️ YOU are worthy of being celebrated. Life is not measured by what you’ve accomplished, but by the simple miracle that YOU are HERE.

➡️May you allow yourself to receive the love that’s been waiting for you all along 💕and may you remember that your presence is a gift to those who know you. ✨

In that moment, I realized that I already have everything I could ask for. 🙏🏻 I am rich in friendship, love, connection, and community. For this, I have purpose. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
