The most perfect day ✨ Sunrise tomfoolery on High E (@this.isthe.place's first time on the money pitch! 🤯), t-shirt weather, crag naps, and an unexpected lead/send of Space Invaders.

My lead head's been struggling to wake up all year, but running into so many friends and seeing them getting after it in their own respective ways energized me and inspired me to hop on the sharp end. Finally made it out to Wallface with @beshaff after putting it on the backburner for so many years. We topped the Diagonal without a hitch, on the most gorgeous Sunday. And then our tagline jammed on the first rappell. Ascending seemed 🤔 with the rope running over a sharp edge... So slumber party it was!

Serendipitously, we were joined on the ledge by the trio @charllehmiller, @tysonrussell21, and @dogsoutdecoy, who were maximally prepared to bivy and generously loaded us up with their surplus food and water 🙏 I whipped up a passable blanket with their rope and @beshaff and I curled up in a rocky nook and huddled until sunrise.

Despite a character-building shiverfest, our spirits stayed high and we found ourselves laughing every time we woke up for some bi-hourly jumping jacks.

10/10 partner in crime and 10/10 outing. Would do it again (with several strategic adjustments). taken in The Adirondacks by @moombeans

Wyoming mega dump!

Tetons > Wild Iris > Sinks Canyon > Tetons > Vedauwoo > some bonus climbing in CO, squeezed into 1.5 weeks. A charcuterie of gneiss, granite, sandstone, and limestone. I think I caught the alpine bug???

My secret goal for the trip was to see one wild hoofed animal and I'm happy to report that we saw: a bull moose (very close, very large, I was too locked in to photo), two cow moose, a herd of bison, and multiple pronghorn herds! 😩💗 by @moombeans

Wrapping up February with two big hoorays!

I took the sharp end for the first time and @mountainsinmymind finished his 101st pitch of ice for the season.

I told myself that I wouldn't rush the process of leading and that I would try only when it felt right. This weekend, everything flowed.

Feeling super grateful to have a friend and mentor who knows exactly how much to nudge me, and who always seems to know exactly what to say when the nerves creep in. May every climber experience such support. taken in Chapel Pond, Adirondacks, NY by @moombeans
