In Moominpappa at Sea, Moomintroll goes down to the beach every night with a hurricane lamp, and every night the Groke is there, gazing at its light, singing and dancing. When the paraffin finally runs out, Moomintroll worries he has let her down when he goes to meet her without it. Yet the Groke is pleased to see him. She dances for him, and after she leaves, he finds that the sand where she stood isn't frozen at all. For once, she left no cold behind.

With the comet getting closer, there is no time to waste.☄️ The Moomins pack up everything they can and hurry to Sniff’s cave, their new home. Even the bathtub finds its way up to the cave!

The Groke paid a rare visit to the Moomin Museum in Tampere, Finland, last Saturday to celebrate the opening of Moomin Mug Mania, an exhibition on Moomin mugs and the culture of collecting them.

A new mug was simultaneously added to the collection. The illustration for “Winternight Glow” is based on a painting made by Tove Jansson for the novel Moominland Midwinter (1957). The Groke, with her ever-looming loneliness, fronts the new mug, made in collaboration between Moomin Arabia and the Moomin Museum. The mug is sold exclusively at the Moomin Museum in Tampere until October 26.💙 by @moomin
