Hard to believe it’s been a week since we finished @theroute_cl in Nice! ☀️Such an incredible experience that would not have been possible without the absolutely amazing team behind it all ⭐️

So this is a huge thank you to the teams at @leadout.events and @cureleukaemia for taking such great care of us all in the lead up to and during the event 🩷

Nothing was too much trouble- we literally just had to ride our bikes… Too many thank yous!!! But to mention a few- truly fabulous lunches, great massages @beccapostance.sportsmassage, unflappable medic, the team coach driver, Bob mechanic, fantastic photos and video footage @tomek.fer @lewisrhodesfilm to a sunglasses cleaning and general spritzing service @fairley.jane and @loltoombs, you were all utterly fantastic. I’m especially missing the moto riders!!

Ride captains @holly_seear, @lalalandlara11, @karingambe headed by the brilliant @juliette__clark - I had such a blast riding with each of you. Such fun days on my bike, thank you 🤩

So, if you’re thinking of signing up for next year, do it. You will be in such good hands 🙌 💕

And of course, massive thanks to @katharine_theroute2026 for putting this challenge on my agenda in the first place to @velo_michelle for coaching and pushing me 💫 and to all my new The Route buddies for sharing this experience 💕

As a Paediatric Anaesthetist at @sheffieldchildrens Hospital, Zoe sees first-hand the bravery of children facing leukaemia. Last summer, the fight came closer to home when her niece, Clemmie, was diagnosed with leukaemia.

Driven by Clemmie’s resilience and strength, Zoe has raised an incredible £16,000 to support other children facing the battle against blood cancer.

We did it!!! The final victory laps in our yellow jerseys were extraordinary- such great camaraderie, teamwork and fun, epitomising the ethos of this entire trip.

Stunning views, a brutal climb on lap 4 and so many smiles. It has been such a privilege to share this experience with such a fabulous group of women. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this adventure.

We have raised a phenomenal amount of money for @cureleukaemia and hitting the £250k target just before our final stage was truly the icing on the cake.

Thank you to EVERYONE who has made this possible. You are all beautiful humans 💕

Sisteron to Nice

Strong headwinds, lots of traffic and a spicy 18% kicker just before we arrived into Nice kept things interesting 🤣 An incredible journey of >1000km from where we started, covering such varied terrain.

We were surprised by the Cure Leukaemia team dressed as chickens with ice lollies just before the end! 🐔

Tour de Femmes Queen Stage!!👸
Mont Ventoux 🚵‍♀️ (1910m)

Today we joined several thousand other riders doing the Étape, all climbing Mont Ventoux. I’ve ridden this on Zwift… Ven-Top was considerably cooler and much less exciting!! 🎉

Today was an absolutely smashing day, I LOVED it!! 🥰 A dreamy early cruise in through the vineyards until we met the Etape route, with Mont Ventoux looming behind the trees. Then it was a long 21km climb up and out of the trees to the lunar landscape below Mont Ventoux. Stunning, and incredible support for “Les Filles” by the roadside.

And of course hard work, especially in the heat 🥵 But this was my choice, and an absolute privilege. Thoughts of all the children and adults that Stages have been dedicated to over the last week riding together, kept my legs pedalling on up… the prospect of hopping on a bike in the French sunshine is a dream for so many.

Today we rode for Natalie who ought to have been riding The Route with us, but is receiving chemotherapy for own leukaemia diagnosis 💖 We carried you with us up that mountain!

Two more stages to go and only £5k to bridge the gap to our ambitious fundraising goal 😱🎉

Stage 6 ✅ TdFFAZ @theroute_cl

Another long hot day in the saddle 🥵 but a massive sense of achievement for everyone as we rolled towards the coach (and ice cream!!) at the end of the day 🍨

I’m constantly wowed by the beautiful scenery- today we were treated to lovely wooded ascents, picturesque villages, the most beautiful lunch spot and some of the most glorious descents I’ve ridden! Absolutely mega day 🙌

This evening the @cureleukaemia team had a real treat of a surprise in store for us- videos and messages from all of our loved ones wishing us well and urging us on up Mont Ventoux tomorrow! There may have been more tears but it was very special 😭 🥰

Today we ride for Asher and I’ve loved riding with @natasjabarclay who gave her dedication beautifully before we hit the road 🩷

We’ve collectively now raised over £243,000 for Cure Leukaemia- so close now to our £250k target! The @justgiving 🔗 is in my bio 🙏

Today was a tough stage, mega hot, reaching over 40 degrees in the afternoon 🌡️ 🔥 The Stage was cut short due to ASO orders due to extreme heat so we missed the final two of climbs.

It was absolutely beautiful climbing up through the beaujolais vineyards to little villages perched on top of the hills🍷

Today’s stage was dedicated to Clemmie with so much love and support from all The Route riders. Everyone did so well in the extreme heat 🥵 and I know that thinking of her gave some people the grit they needed to just keep going. So well done everyone, you all did Clemmie and her family proud 🙏💕

The support crew were absolutely brilliant, keeping everyone hydrated 💦 and dishing out ice to those in need. A lot of dousing in water and heads under taps today!! Thanks also to the wonderful ladies for another incredible lunch! 😋

A year ago today, I was in a passport queue returning from our family holiday when my sister Lois sent a photo of my niece Clemmie looking very pale and lethargic. Just 3 weeks earlier she had been skipping through the surf in Cornwall.

What followed was a whirlwind hospital admission via ED and the first of many blood transfusions. After 5 days of diagnostic uncertainty, Clemmie and her family were told she had leukaemia, the treatment for which would be over two years.

They have all shown indescribable strength, courage, determination and remarkable humour throughout this journey. I am so incredibly proud of them all. @lvhinchliffe you are a true supermama and I’ve learnt so much from you this last year 💕

Now almost halfway through her treatment, Clemmie’s beads spell out at least some of her journey. A way for others to visualise what children like her endure.

It has been my absolute privilege to be undertaking @theroute_cl to raise awareness and funds for better leukaemia therapy. Clemmie greatly benefitted from novel immunotherapy that would not have been possible just 6 weeks before her diagnosis.

Together our team of women riders have raised over £240,000 for @cureleukaemia research. Tomorrow we will be riding for Clemmie 💜🩷❤️ A tough day for us, but nothing in comparison to what she has already been through with Lois and her family by her side. It’s also our middle day, roughly equating to Clem’s stage in her long treatment. She is tapping it out with her natural good humour, so so will we… in the small way that we can 🚴‍♀️⛰️☀️

Come on girls, let’s do this for Clemmie xxx 🩷

TDFFAZ Stage 4 ✅ - time trial day for the pros but a recovery/cafe ride for us, saving our legs for the tough days to come ☕️ 🥐

Today we were riding for Vicky, diagnosed with leukaemia in adulthood. It’s been such a joy to ride with her great friend @victoria.c.clarke and all the other inspirational ladies on The Route, each with their own “why?” for this challenge 💕

Proud to say that today, we have collectively raised £240k for the ATICUS network, a phenomenal achievement for our team of 20 riders. Thank you for all the generous donations 🙏 Fundraising link in bio 🔗

@kickfrancefemmes are an incredible group of 5 women from the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 taking on the entire TTDFAZ on kick bikes! We had a go@on their kick bikes on the finish line in Dijon today!! 🏁

Cracking day today with some beautiful climbs and super descents! Hot again 🔥 and a long day in the saddle but everyone in great spirits and even managed some karaoke on route! 🎶 Absolutely loving hearing everyone’s journey to the start line… such an inspiring group of ladies to be riding alongside 💕

Stage 2 ✅ - Aigle to Geneva

Absolutely beautiful ride today - a flat start along the lake followed by a gorgeous climb up through the vineyards, fields of sunflowers, stunning villages and all with fabulous company 🏰 🌻 🚴‍♀️
