Another glorious sunny day for Moortown Group’s annual golf day at @ruddingparkhotel ☀️

What a fantastic day on and off the course, bringing together our valued partners to celebrate the relationships that drive our businesses forward.

Teams from Morgan Sindall, BAM Construction, Tilbury Douglas, Galliford Try, Vastint UK and Vinci Construction made for great company and healthy competition throughout the day, with huge congratulations due to McAvoy Group, who took the team event honours with an impressive 89 points 👏

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so special.

Already looking forward to next year! 🏌️‍♂️ taken in Rudding Park Golf Club by @moortowngroup

In construction, we look after each other on site, and that includes our mental health.
Long hours, pressure, travel, and tough environments take a toll. Behind every hard hat is a person who deserves support, respect, and space to talk

🧠 1 in 4 people will experience a mental‑health challenge this year.
In our industry, the risk is even higher, we lose too many colleagues to suicide.

That’s why we’re proud to support Mates in Mind, a charity dedicated to improving mental wellbeing across construction. Their work helps break stigma, build confidence, and give our teams the tools to look out for one another.

We’re committed to:

✅Open conversations — talking early, talking often
✅Supervisor awareness — spotting signs and offering support
✅Healthy work practices — rest, hydration, realistic workloads
✅Professional help routes — including Mates in Mind resources

If you’re struggling, you’re not alone.
Talking to a mate, a supervisor, or a professional can make a real difference.

Let’s build a culture where support is standard and looking out for each other is part of the job.
Strong teams talk. Strong teams support. Strong teams stay safe.

We Put Health & Safety First✅

Last week, our Operations Director, Richard Mitchell, attended the @willmottdixon Leadership Day, where we were honoured to receive the AllSafe Award. 🏆
The award recognised our team’s incredible work at The Seam, Barnsley’s Digital Campus.

35 weeks on site. Zero incidents. All while working safely around live services.

But beyond the statistics, it was our health & safety culture that was highlighted, an achievement we’re truly proud of. And now, just over a month since opening, it’s amazing to see the Seam being used at the heart of its community, exactly what it was built for.

First award of the year! Hopefully not the last…
A huge thank you to every member of the team who worked so efficiently and safely to make this happen. You should all be incredibly proud. 👏

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending a fantastic hospitality golf day at JCB’s Country Park course in Staffordshire⛳️

A huge thank you to @tchjcb for their kind invitation and the continued partnership we share. It is greatly valued, and we look forward to seeing what the year ahead brings for us both.

We are particularly grateful to the @jcbgolfcc team for such a warm welcome and exceptional hosting. The immaculate course, outstanding facilities, and the care and attention put into every detail of the day were second to none. A truly memorable occasion for everyone involved; the team look forward to next time!

Proud Match Sponsors of the Bradford Bulls!

This weekend we had the privilege of sponsoring the Bradford Bulls match against the Hull Kingston Rovers.

A couple members of the Moortown team attended and thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic matchday atmosphere, and even received a fully signed rugby shirt.

As a business with strong roots in the local area, supporting the wider community is something that we’re committed to, and backing one of Bradford’s most celebrated sporting clubs felt like a wonderful opportunity to do just that.

A huge thank you to Bradford Bulls for such a wonderful and memorable day. We look forward to continuing to support the club and the fantastic Bradford community 💛❤️🖤🏉

Spreading Easter Joy on the A34🐣

As Easter weekend approaches, our main contractor, @balfourbeatty put together an on-site chocolate egg collection at the A34 project. Thanks to many kind donations, over 80 Easter eggs were delivered to the Didcot Baptist Church Food Bank and the Mental Health Natters charity.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped out, and it was such a joy to bring some happiness to those who need it most this Easter💚
