This moment means so much to me. My self-funded sci-fi/horror short Paint screened at San Diego Comic-Con. Seeing it all come together at an event like this was unforgettable.

Thank you @comic_con for the opportunity! 🫶🏾

Science fiction is its own kind of poetry - a rhythm shaped by wonder and disruption.

I’m bringing Nadia Zarkovna to life with
ZEISS CINE, whose glass has shaped some of the most evocative sci-fi imagery in cinema. A privilege to have ZEISS supporting my vision.

This week, I had the pleasure of co-moderating “Ownership Is the New Fame: IP and Power for Black Creators” for the Television Academy’s Black Affinity Group!

Such a wonderful evening filled with insightful conversations about creative ownership and the future of the industry.

A huge thank you to our incredible panelists, Felicia Pride, Megan Reid, and Carlos Segarra, for sharing their knowledge and experiences, and to the Television Academy members who joined us!

Special thanks to my fantastic co-moderator, Allyson Holloway, and the Black Affinity Group co-leads, Cliff Decatrel and Georgette Pierre, for bringing this event to life! ✨

Excited to be co-moderating “Ownership Is the New Fame: IP and Power for Black Creators” at the Television Academy on October 13!

We’ll be joined by @feliciapride, Megan Reid and Carlos Segarra for a conversation about IP ownership, packaging, adapting stories, protecting creative work, building independent production companies, and creating opportunities outside of the traditional studio system.

Please RSVP in your Television Academy/Emmys member dashboard. Looking forward to a great conversation! ✨

Note: You must be a Television Academy member and a member of or ally to the Black Affinity Group to attend. taken in Emmys / Television Academy by @moracarew

Monday night at the 78th Emmy Awards ✨

My third year attending the Emmys and my first as an active voting member of the Television Academy, after three years as an associate member! I brought my mom with me, and it was a fun surprise having Governor Gavin Newsom seated in our section. Definitely a night to remember! taken in Peacock Theater by @moracarew

Someone recently asked me what it was like to spend thousands of hours with a legend, studying cinema at his side… thousands of hours, hundreds of meals, countless films watched and analyzed together. A legend who I experienced at all extremes. The late Peter Bogdanovich (1939-2022) chose me as his final apprentice and he didn’t just shape how I see cinema - he shaped how I see everything. You can see him directly through my work if you know where to look. taken in Beverly Hills, California by @moracarew
