@moracarew will be co facilitating a workshop with @rajahanna1 at A Night of Misfit Film Festival titled "So You Want to be a Scriptwriter?" Sunday November 30th 4:30-5:30 pm at Alwun House. Come and meet a few filmmakers who are screening their films during the festival, and share what is your writing process. I will post the other panelist joining Mora and Raja soon.
Mora Carew is a director, writer and producer based in Los Angeles. She completed her first film 2 Eye Drops from Normal, winner of the Programmers' Award for Short Narrative at the Oscar-qualifying Pan African Film Festival in 2022. She subsequently entered into a 2-year licensing deal with AMC Networks. Her second film Paint is on the 2025 festival circuit, winning awards at Miami Sci-Fi and Albuquerque Film Festival, and screening at San Diego Comic-Con and the Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts among other notable film festivals. Mora has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh and she served as a co-moderator for the Television Academy’s Peer Circle program in 2024. Mora was selected for the Alliance of Women Directors Rising Director feature film fellowship, as announced in Deadline in February 2025.
