Decentralized community projects HMU! 我计划在11月中旬至12月期间访问中国，希望能借此机会探访一些有趣的去中心化社区。欢迎直接给我发私信，或者帮忙将此信息转发给您认识的、在中国从事“太阳朋克”（Solarpunk）前沿实践的朋友 :) If you’re non-China based and want to join (pretty much any western passport other than USA can enter visa free), also DM me. by @morellomunch

One of the many exciting ways to plug in at Twin Oaks, America’s oldest income sharing commune. Twin Oaks has a 3 week visitor program where you can live like like a communard and apply to join for full time residency afterwards. In addition to managing the poultry program, Carter’s involved in the kitchen and the raw milk program by @morellomunch

ALT LIVING BOOK CLUB (2nd edition):

Some excerpts from the four articles we’ll be reading and discussing (<1 hour reading commitment ahead of Book Club)

“What’s the big benefit to living alone that I was missing? 28% of Americans live alone. Nearly one in three people. There must have been advantages I wasn’t seeing

“I went on a few dates. It was nice to think that if I liked someone enough to invite him home, I’d be able to bring him to my ‘own’ place and not have to explain why I have roommates in my thirties.

Then I realized most of the people I’ve dated over the last few years were friends of my roommates, who I’d met when they came to some event at our house. I missed that pool of vetted friends-of-friends as I downloaded the apps and started swiping. The dates were, to a man, disastrous. Who knew how many QAnon conspiracy theorists are lurking in the NYU faculty!”
- @gillianemorris

“If a friend expresses interest in the unit, I schedule a tour myself. Then tell them “I’m seeing the unit tomorrow at 3 pm if you want to join.” (Yes, I know that might seem crazy. But also remember: I live near 22 friends, and my life is awesome).”
