Growing in waves. 🌊 Something I’ve been learning while building my own creative business: not every season is meant for big moves. Some are for creating, exploring, and taking chances. Others are for slowing down, finding clarity, and figuring out what feels right. And I’m slowly learning to trust both. Growth isn’t always about moving faster. It‘s about knowing when to move and when to simply let things unfold too. A little reminder for anyone who feels like they’re falling behind: You’re allowed to grow at your own pace. Follow me along as I create a custom logo design for @motherandmindful ✨ Starting with an existing typeface, I carefully refined individual letterforms to create a custom wordmark that reflects the essence of the brand. The M features a delicate loop, symbolizing connection — one of the core values of Mother & Mindful. The D and E received their own flowing curves, adding a sense of femininity, softness and a subtle touch of magic. Every little detail was thoughtfully crafted to bring more personality and meaning into the logo. 🌀 by @moresalt.design

Client reveal ✨ Mother & Mindful — Motherhood, softer. Introducing the visual identity for @motherandmindful — a brand created to reconnect mothers with the woman within. A space for mindfulness, intuition, rituals and finding little moments of magic in everyday life. The branding brings together femininity, nature, sensuality and a subtle witchy touch. At its heart is a custom wordmark with elegant, flowing letterforms that feel both soft and a little mystical. Organic shapes and symbolic details add a sense of connection, growth and ritual. Instead of following the typical beige aesthetic often associated with motherhood brands, we chose a more expressive color palette of earthy greens and mystical purples. Grounded in nature, yet full of personality. The result is a visual world that brings together softness, femininity, and a touch of magic, all deeply rooted in nature. Say Hello to NEXT WAVE 🌊 For this one, I wanted to move away from the sunny, tropical feel-good aesthetic we often associate with surf culture. Instead, I imagined NEXT WAVE somewhere a little rougher around the edges — overcast skies, cold water, salty air and a cool breeze coming in from the ocean. The muted colors and slightly nostalgic imagery reflect that mood, while the playful illustrations bring back the warmth and friendliness at the heart of the brand. Because NEXT WAVE isn’t really about perfect waves or perfect conditions. It’s about making surfing feel accessible, adventurous and connecting. I believe that as designers, we have a responsibility. Our work helps businesses grow, sell and make money — so I think we should care about who we’re doing that for. A few years ago, I attended a design workshop where someone from one of the biggest agencies in the world shared a project he was working on for Sprite (Coca Cola Company). I remember thinking: Would I want to use my creativity to support a company I consciously choose not to support in my personal life? For me, the answer was pretty clear. And maybe that’s also one of the reasons I never wanted to work for a big agency, where you don’t always get to choose the clients you work for. I want to work with people who genuinely care about what they’re building. With brands that respect people, animals and our planet. And with clients who don’t just want me to make something look pretty, but trust me to think, question and create alongside them. Because I don’t believe design is neutral. And I’d rather use my creativity for something I truly believe in. 🌀🌊🌿 by @moresalt.design

While hiking along Portugal’s southwest coast, I found myself constantly stopping to take photos of plants, rocks, flowers and the ocean. Back home, I turned some of those moments into color palettes inspired by the landscapes of the Fisherman’s Trail. Nature remains the best designer. 🌞🌊🌿 taken in Algarve, Portugal by @moresalt.design
