The Silvretta Oath.

At two-thousand-thirty, the air grows thin,
And strips each man down to the truth within.
No comfort waits where the peaks stand guard,
Only old roads, steep climbs, and honest yards.

Stone on the shoulders. Blade in the hand.
Boots worn smooth by the mountain’s command.
Hundreds of kilometres carved through pain,
Legs like iron, lungs like flame.

This is no camp. It is passage earned,
Where sweat is spent and weakness burned.
The ghosts of Britain pull each stroke,
In weathered hands and whispered oaths.

Here brothers are not simply found;
They’re forged where silence is the loudest sound.
As those before bled into crest and tide,
So now another crew steps to their side.

When they leave these mountains, medals not yet won,
They’ll carry something heavier than the sun.
A bond built raw, where legends began:
The mountain remembers. So does the man. taken in Silvretta-Stausee by @morganbw7
