Can’t reset Instagram back to its quality from a decade ago, but I can improve my personal feed like it’s 2016. haha.
Anyway here’s a cool knife I found and made grips for as well as my breakfast and the scaleable formula for the Texas flag. by @morganoliff

Random mix of photos from a silly idea we had on the road trip back from camping. We ended up stopping at the original restaurants of two great men of American chicken fame. 😄 by @morganoliff

Video shows finished product.
Things were going along OK putting the van back together after resealing the front main seal, front cover/oil-pump and oil pan. Lower bolt on the engine mount bracket was stripped as soon as I got it past hand-tight.
Pic 2 is My trusty right angle drill that I bought on vacation years ago to extract a sheared tensioner bolt, (it’s saving the day again.)
The other frames show some steps in the process, the punch is used to snap the drive tang off of the heli-coil insert after installation, you can see the tang cling to the slightly magnetic punch as it’s removed.
Also a Kant-twist clamp makes an excellent tap handle in tight spaces as demonstrated here.
Finally is me assessing the water pump gasket resisting the urge to just slap it back together even though the seal is a little bit dried out. It was put in exactly 4 years ago. by @morganoliff

Frugality, pragmatism or downright morbid curiosity whatever you wanna call it: This is what the inside of a 320,000 mile Honda V6 run exclusively with Walmart oil looks like. by @morganoliff

The ultem skull I made years ago after work learning 5 axis on the little Haas. This was long before I was seeing the EDC folks go crazy for this material.

Explain to my wife that this would make a great 40th birthday present for me. And it’s a screaming deal compared to other midlife-crisis options. 😄 by @morganoliff

I still have the first thing I ever machined.
Made on lunch breaks when I worked at @nationalmaglab and I was supervised by a charming machinist who has since passed away but @motogzziclassics reminds me of him in an uncanny way. Anyhow, I’m supposed to be cleaning my garage but I seem to be enjoying memories more. by @morganoliff
