Workshop description:
Spend a peaceful day exploring the art of lace papermaking with mixed-media artist Rosalind Nzinga Vaughn-Nichol. In this workshop, you will transform old lace into intricate snowflakes, perfect for tree ornaments, window light catchers, or heartfelt gifts. With over two decades of experience incorporating antique lace into her original artwork, Rosalind will guide you through the process and share creative inspiration for your finished pieces—including how to attach them to note cards to create an extra-special greeting.

Next Saturday, October 17, from 11-3 in CMA’s atrium, CMA will host RISD professor and master engraver Andrew Raftery, who will give a projected engraving demo in conjunction with the current exhibition, The Renaissance Engraver at Work. You and your students are invited to stop by, watch, learn from, and chat with Andrew during the program.

Brave New Worlds / Dress To Impress event at @morganpaper this weekend ✨

What a pleasure it was to serve as a judge alongside @katknowvak for this paper fashion event. The designers really brought the technical skill (making clothing out of paper, yall!?) and insightful thought related to the theme this year - “brave new worlds: a futuristic, fashion-forward era exploring new realities and current societal reflections”. It was so hard to choose the winners! Thank you to all who participated, what a fun night.

The table just got longer. 🤎

We’ve always said Frequencies is about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about the people we meet, the spaces we gather in, the stories we share, and what happens somewhere between the first bite and the last song.

So for our 2026 season finale, we’re doing something a little special.

Frequencies Supper Club is partnering with Morgan Conservatory ( @morganpaper )
for our November table.

Their medium is paper. Ours is food. But we both believe in making things with our hands, creating with intention, and giving people a reason to gather.
