We proudly celebrate Chad Benson’s inauguration as Morningside’s 14th president!

A Morningside Alum himself, President Benson knows firsthand what it means to be part of this community. Together, we celebrate a leader who shares our commitment to lifelong learning, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility.

Congratulations, Chad, and welcome home.❤️ taken in Morningside University by @morningsideedu

Welcome to the Morningside family, President Chad Benson! 🫘

Last night, our new president was welcomed the Morningside way: a shower of beans. The tradition dates back to March 26, 1911, when President Luther Freeman stood at the chapel rostrum and asked for “blessings from above.” Right on cue, beans poured down from the ventilator overhead. A year later, President Craig got his own shower, thanks to an alarm clock, a pan, a piece of string, and an old hurdle. And by the end of the decade, a beloved tradition was born. When you can laugh together, you can lead together. That’s the Morningside way. taken in Morningside University by @morningsideedu

🏆 IT’S M-CLUB MADNESS! 🏆

You wore the M. You made the memories. You cheered on your teammates and competed for Morningside.

Your team helped shape your Mside experience. Today, you can help carry that legacy on.

All day today, Morningside alumni are coming together to support the teams that shaped their college experience—and competing to see which sport can rally the largest percentage of alumni participation.

Your gift helps provide today’s student-athletes with the resources they need to compete, grow and create their own Morningside memories.

Find your team. Make your gift. Rally your teammates.

🏆 Let’s see which sport can secure the win!
