We built a moss farm from scratch in Northern Ontario 🌿
Two years ago it was an empty piece of land and a crazy idea. Now it’s our own production line and a team of 8 people who sort, fill, seal and pack every bag by hand.

My Anthurium Dark Queen has tripled in size since arriving as a tiny tissue culture from @theleafexchange, so it was finally time for an upgrade.

I’ve made kokedama before, but I’d never thought to use an Anthurium until I saw @botanicallybe create one. I knew my Dark Queen would be the perfect candidate.

For the planting medium, I mixed chopped Mossify Premium Long Fiber Sphagnum Moss with tree fern fiber, then wrapped everything in Mossify Revita-Moss. I secured it with clear fishing line so it disappears into the finished piece, letting the moss take center stage.

The finished piece feels more like living art than a potted plant, and after a couple of days my Dark Queen already seems perfectly happy in its new home.

Huge thanks to @botanicallybe for the inspiration, @theleafexchange for this beautiful tissue culture, and @mossify for the materials that brought it all together.
