last Sunday's tour of the @stablerleadbeaterapothecary with @napoleonssister was one of the most beautiful specialty museum tours I've experienced in a long time ☆ it's incredible that many of these antique bottles still contain their original contents

I feel the same, though my traditional undercurrent of Scholar's Melancholy is joined by twin tributaries Birthday Melancholy and End of the Year Melancholy . . .

this Saturday at @odditiesfleamarket , I'm bringing a few old favorites like the "Love is My Religion" hairwork lockets ♡ these necklaces feature gold-tone or silver-tone fixtures with glass lids that entomb a spiral of ethically-sourced antique human hair (swipe to see a closeup). I can only bring two of these, so make sure to stop by my table early if you want one!

working on some new spiral hairwork pieces for @odditiesfleamarket this coming weekend at @villainstagram 🖤 each of these decor pieces is unique, made with ethically-sourced antique human hair bound with black thread and sewn onto an inky black velvet background, all of which is encased behind glass in vintage or antique frames
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
since they're newly made, these arrangements can be seen as either mourning mementos or tender tokens of friendship ♡ the interpretation depends on their future owners now
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm only bringing six of these hairwork pieces with me to the market, and I will only be there Saturday, December 7th, so make sure to stop by early if you're interested in taking one home!

Houdini's Great Escape ♡ last Saturday was the strangest time I've experienced on this ride... we entered the second half and were seated, but the ride started with no audio track or lights
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
it was pretty eerie listening to the mechanical groans and creaks of the ride machinery as opposed to the booming voice of Houdini that normally plays, along with organ music and lighting
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
the head in the crystal ball effect is almost never working (has anyone else seen it operational?), but at least the screaming box during the ride introduction is up and running 🖤
