In the anatomy lab, first-year students are working on building the brachial plexus. By building a physical, color-coded map, students can clearly trace how nerve fibers move from the spinal cord down to the hand.

🚨 New clinic shirt 🚨

Following the recommendation of a client, we have officially designed a shirt for our pro bono clinic! We are accepting orders through October 28; pickup only, delivery unavailable. Use the link in our bio to get more info and place your order.

Profits from the orders will go towards purchasing shirts for our clients. Any additional money will go towards our Access OuTdoors event in the spring, which creates supportive and accessible outdoor activities to people of any ability.

That's a wrap on our FLOAT sessions for the fall semester! Thank you to the students, community volunteers and families for participating.

We are so excited about the renewed community interest in our program. Our wait-list has grown and we will be working hard to include as many families as we can. Please note, we will begin reaching out to schedule for the spring session in January. Message us if you have any questions.

On Oct. 7 was the annual Go Baby Go Fitting Day event at @missouristate !

Occupational therapy students designed and built custom ride-on Jeeps for children with limited mobility, giving them more opportunities to move, explore and have fun.

Our faculty were all over the map last week!

📍Drs. Cardin and Garrison visited @collegeoftheozarks to share program information with students interested in Allied Health. Dr. Cardin admired a Grandma's Flower Garden quilt; if you know, you know.
📍Drs. Boehne and Myrick attended the @aotainc Mental Health Specialty Conference in Illinois. Fun fact: they attended sessions on World Mental Health Day.
📍Dr. Cardin ran into several alumni at the SOS Approach to Feeding conference in Arkansas

Today our second-year OT students had their fitting for their Go Baby Go adapted toy jeeps! 🚗

They got to meet some wonderful kids and their families in hope to increase their independence and social participation! These adaptive vehicles were individualized to each client through various decorations and modifications!
