🔵 TILLGIVENHETEN / 효 🔵
14th & 15th February 2025
Venue: @inkonst
_____________________________
Artist introduction: Sigrid Stigsdatter [she/her]

Sigrid Stigsdatter is a Copenhagen-based choreographer, performer and vocalist with a BA from SNDO (school for new dance development) and an MA from DDSKS (The Danish National School of Performing Arts). Through body and voice, text and sound her practice interrogates the addictive, the emotional, the intuitive, and the wild. By saying yes and yes and yes and and and she creates work that insist on multiplicity, the layers, the complicated, the punk and magic, the gross and glossy. (In addition to creating her own work, Sigrid performers for various other artists such as Alex Baczyński Jenkins, Andreas Hannes, Tino Sehgal, Oneka Von Schrader, Miriam Kongstad and Emilie Gregersen.) She is an active member of Jacuzzi in Amsterdam and Dance Cooperative in Copenhagen two artist-run spaces working for and with the community around the dance and performance scene. Her involvement in these collectives and political spaces continues to be a crucial part of her artistic function. (Sigrid was selected Aerowaves artist 2022, Icehot artist 2022, Danceweb 2018 and received the moving forward award 2017. She has shown her work or been in residency at Tanzhaus Zürich, MTD Stockholm, Dansateliers Rotterdam, HAUT Copenhagen, Veem House For Performance, Azkuna Zentora Bilbao, Dansbrabant Tilburg, New Fears Berlin and many more.)

SIGRID STIGSDATTER & KLARA LOPEZ PRESENTS ’Forever on all fours’

💢💢💢

This new work is shown on Saturday the 28th of September!

🐩🐩🐩

Klara Lopez is a multidisciplinary visual artist. With a dance background, she is currently a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Featuring a variety of media, her works explore intimacy, distance, desire and disgust.

Sigrid Stigsdatter works with choreography, performance, singing and writing. She completed her studies at the SNDO (School for New Dance Development – Amsterdam) in 2017. In her works, she uses word and voice, dance, and sound as power tools to deal with the female body on and off stage, female erotics, sensuality, and power relations.
