~NOW BOOKING~

Hi, I’m Julissa Emile and I’m a poet of many forms. For the past 4 years of my artist practice I’ve been exploring the ways that plants can engage in storytelling and since 2021 I’ve been doing live tea brewing, creating herbal blends to compliment public art in Boston and teaching herbalism classes at various universities and artist orgs in the city. Just google Julissa Emile to see what I’ve been up to!

Working with plants is one of the ways I connect with spirit and brings me so much joy to be able to share that with others!

With that being said, if your organization is hiring artists for workshops or you’re interested in any other herbalism offerings, email me @ julissaemile@gmail.com for booking. I’d love to have tea with you.

Down to travel to Boston, New York & Philly 💕

Hi I’m Julissa Emile and I love public art! I’m making this to advertise my talents in open mic hosting, event consulting and Tarot. Ive been event consulting and hosting open mics all over Boston since 2018 and I’ve been blessed to read Tarot at the ICA, Gaybashd, QUENCH from the Unbound Bodies collective and many many more. This is not an individual tarot reading offering. The way it works is that an organization will pay me a flat fee and I’ll read tarot all night! It nourishes and I love helping people connect to their intuition. Sound like something you’re interested in? email me @ julissaemile@gmail.com

I don’t do the cult of celebrity but if you’ve known me for a long time, you know the adoration I have for Tinashe! POPST⭐️R is such a special BAWDY of work and it’s such an honor to witness this artist allow us in to her practice and her authentic voice, while delivering incredible work time and time again!!!

Also made some sweet new friends the evening of the meet & greet. So sweet so gain new homies that love great music.

If anyone needs a place to start, my favorites on this album are:

Got to go to On Air Festival as a VIP because I know baddies in high places!! Had so much fun celebrating this era’s version of oral storytelling. Great practice for next week because I’ll be at AWPs and speaking on the panel for “Poetry for Revolutionaries: How the History of Black and Brown Oral Tradition Creates Active Literacy for the Future”!!! 💕💕💕 by @motherjuniper
