I finally met my best friend [in my mind] in person for the release of her new album: Popstar! If you know me IRL, you know I don't play about Tinashe! I couldn't even say what I wanted to because I was so overwhelmed. All I could say is "I love you so much". Just to be able to hug the person who's music impacted me in so many ways was one of the most satisfying and overwhelming experiences ever. I love her so much and I will cherish this moment forever. I pray it won't be my last! Can't wait to see her in October! Popstar is a fucking MASTERPIECE. I love this album. She continues to reinvent her sound EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It never sounds like anything else that's out. A true genius! I wore my 333 hoodie I hought in 2021. It has been my comfort hoodie ever since. It was only right to wear it to meet her! The sky was beautiful Met some amazing people! Made an amazing experience perfect! The line was long! We were 6-11th in line! The sky was fucking beautiful. Such an amazing night

🍓🧃update: crowdfund goal has been reached! cảm ơn & thank you to everyone who has shared and/or donated to my crowdfund! here are some current and ongoing crowdfunds/mutual aid funds that you can donate to (in no particular order/randomized order): 1. survival funds for healing and stability of a black trans couple (https://bit.ly/4znNT4D) 2. for thai’s ongoing medical and chronic illness related bills and expenses (https://bit.ly/4gA3V3Y) 3. lily’s survival fund (https://bit.ly/4hE46wo) (more in the comments section/pls drop you mutual aid ask/crowdfund if you don’t see it here— *POC ONLY*)! bc i have been sharing Cursed/Traumatic things, here is some queer joy throughout the years that i couldn’t share on facebook/instagram at the time due to not being “fully out” to extended family: 1. My gf’s first time meeting my mom and visiting my sec 8 childhood apartment in Fitchburg, MA, my mom had given us oranges, & around the time i met my gf's mom! (feb 2023) 2. valentine’s day with my gf (feb 2023) 3. my gf & i in Huế, VN (march 2025) 4. nyx & i, this was taken shortly after my dad passed away & i had finally felt like i could cut my hair short and that i could present more masculine (which was what I wanted at the time and what felt comfortable to me) without so much of the pressure of daughterhood (for non-yt “daughters” of immigrant families iykyk lmfao) nyx made boston feel more like home! (2021) 5. trans resistance march with my loves Juju & Nyx <3 (i can’t remember when this was but i think 2022?) 6. dani & i had gone on a cute date & afterwards she made me a cute video edit of us to caroline polachek <3 (summer 2020) 7. My girlfriend! We were on our 2nd or 3rd date at the time visiting MassMoca in North Adams, MA (dec 2022) 8. My girlfriend at the red arrow diner!! It was after i performed/featured at a poetry venue for the first time in a long time after i had really bad depressive episode the following 1-2 years post-dad dying (slamfreeordie in New Hampshire, Jan 2023) 9. gf and i meeting my mom! eating oranges!(march 2023) 10. paige looking at plants!!! There are so many more joyful queer moments but~ maybe, will share more in a future post!

Very wistful being back in Baltimore for AWP!!! I’ll be the millionth person to say I didn’t take enough pictures because either I was walking through my old neighborhood romanticizing my life or I was with friends busy catching up. It was exhausting and invigorating per usual but I think this time I got to notice all the different chapters of my writing life and feel bigger gratitude for how it’s become a series of reunions. I’m lucky, and I’m antsy to put alllllllll those panels and all my friends’ wisdom back into my writing ✨❣️🦀🐚 PS My chapbook Phantasmagossip is nearly sold out!!! 😈 Bug me if you want to reserve a copy 📕

My first AWP was absolutely fab!!!! I met so many superstars and reunited with so many friends. Once we wished to be writers and now we are standing on the seams of dreams and reality 🙌🏾✨🥹📚 Writing can be such a siloed experience and to be welcomed in and held by so many beloveds, to be constantly challenged and inspired by the interdependence happening by shaking the page and a lil ass along the way is grounding to say the least. I am so honored to be writing in this moment alongside so many of you all 🫶🏾 Baltimore you owe me nothinggg!! AWP TIL NEXT YEAR ❤️

Home from my first AWP (to the first sprouts) and it was so nice 😭 super grateful for @goldenthem_ and @veryverynoisy for encouraging me to come and folks at @gameoverbooks over for being there and putting together a reading it was so special to see my book among all my pressmates and get to meet and hear them perform! It was beyond delightful to see poet friends for the first time since the pandemic and dear friends who have moved from Boston (@motherjuniper 🫶🏼). I was inspired by all the panels and readings I was able to attend & in reconnecting with @cantomundo folks. Thanks to Baltimore and friendship it was a treat. I feel full. Hoping to do more shows for my book so let me know if you can connect me with places to perform :)
