“The Motion” - Official Poster 2025

We have now officially finished our first short film, The Motion, after almost a year of production. This project started as a monologue that I and @eavmx very ambitiously reimagined into an experimental story. The motion has become a collection of us all, reflecting an energy and care which we could have never accomplished without the constant work and long hours put in by our wonderful cast and crew.

This is the first part of the trilogy where we reconstruct our dreams and memories, mirroring the chaotic and distorted nature of being stuck in the motion.

Stay tuned for the teaser and our next film ;))

Over the weekend the 2026 LIFF Youth Jury came together for the first time to follow workshops by industry professionals, in order to get them ready for the festival! @iamlisadanilkovych and Eva from @motiondamesproductions taught them all about film production while our Head of Programming, @jetske_br, shared the ins and outs of film programming. @stefaniegordin spoke about film criticism, and @vincenttilanus took them behind the scenes of filmmaking.

What’s next for the Youth Jury? Coming together during LIFF to watch a special lineup of films, which we will share more about soon.

THROWBACK 🌸

Looking back to April 30th at @fryeartmuseum for the @cadence.video.poetry . Seeing our film ‘The Motion’ presented in dialogue with the ‘Wallflowers’ exhibition was such an honor. It was deeply moving to see how all the selected pieces (including our own) intertwined with the themes.

From the quiet stillness of the gallery to the vibrant energy of the post-screening conversation, thank you to everyone who joined us for this exploration of language and motion.

THROWBACK 🔙

‘The Motion’ had a double-screening day almost a month ago!! May 9th went down in our history books as we had the unique experience of screening at two completely different venues on the same day…

First-off, we hit @fchyena with the amazing folks at @offscreenuva . And then our film was exhibited in the ‘Digital Alchemy’ exhibition at Dokzaal as part of @glitch404____ , curated by the brilliant @sad5israd .

Huge thank you to ever involved for giving us these opportunities! We truly love being a part of the Amsterdam creative scene and building a community of talented art enthusiasts <3

‘FLORENCE LIKES TO DIE’ PREMIERE 🌙

Two weeks later and we’re still holding onto the warmth of this evening: @florence_dies.film (directed by @yassinhaeussler and produced by @iamlisadanilkovych ) premiered at the Filmtheater Kriterion!!

Sharing this film surrounded by friends, family, and a room full of people who made this journey possible was so meaningful. Thank you to everyone who came, watched, supported, and stayed for the conversations afterwards. Nights like these remind us why we make films in the first place.

A huge thank you to @kriterionamsterdam for hosting us and creating space for independent cinema and emerging filmmakers.

More to come soon for Florence!!

Florence Likes to Die (2026)

When Florence begins to develop morbid fantasies about her own death, she drags her best friend, Ruby, into a series of macabre roleplaying games that bring to light unfulfillable yearnings…

🖤

Still processing what it felt like to watch FLTD on the big screen. Sitting there with friends and loved ones, seeing Florence fully come to life through @yassinhaeussler vision and dedication, felt incredibly emotional and rewarding. Somehow, the closed screening also landed on Mother’s Day marking almost exactly one year after we first started developing Florence as an idea.

Now @florence_dies.film is stepping into the world with her first festival selection as a semi-finalist at @filmhausfest . Can’t wait to see where she takes us next 🖤
