POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🇺🇸 Staff Sergeant 🇺🇸

Truthfully I didn’t know where to start with this one… at 8 years and 5 months I’m blessed to say I was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Marines.

Not only was I pinned but my beautiful mother and beautiful wife were the ones to promote me. My mom’s first time able to attend a promotion. This one hit a bit different due to the unique environment and experiences I have been exposed to in my life.

As my wife and I look forward at the next chapter in this crazy story of ours we look at the college graduation, next billet, next duty, and the next promotion. The questions have been asked. The mentorship and guidance have been provided. The goals and standards have been set. Let’s get to gold!

4 More Years!

Extremely grateful for this reenlistment. For those that know you know. This one was a little off guard because my initial package was rejected after only being submitted 30 hours. It caught my wife and I off guard. As I stood and talked with the Marines today I let them know I was speechless in the moment that I was rejected. Not knowing if you'll have a job is extremely stressful. However, by the grace of God and the power of networking in the Marine Corps I was approved. The next few years are going to look VERY DIFFERENT!

Stand by for further details.

MAIC 102-26

Congratulations to the 17 newest Martial Arts Instructors! Remember to always set the standard high and be the example for all others! Be the standard!

Thank you for everyone who help me get this course going as well as everyone who helped me during. Not easy to run a course this short fuse but we showed up and made it happen!

My first Martial Arts Instructor Course as a Lead Instructor Trainer! Lots of memories. Tons of learning lessons. Good notes taken and received to help make the next one that much better.

Lead Martial Arts Instructor Trainer

Today my Grandmother took the bus up to heaven. She was such a beautiful woman and a beautiful loving soul. So many memories to look back on to always remember you by. I’m sure you are sipping a crisp strawberry Fanta, floating around the pool reading, and waiting for the cookies to get done baking in the oven right now up there! We love you Honey! by @moto.moore

Happy Valentine’s Day Ky Bear ( @kyliejoan ) Little late posting but my beautiful wife and I went on our first ever solo trip just to go do something for us that doesn’t have anything to do with the dogs, family, or the Marines. While all that is awesome last night was unmatched. Being surrounded by so many disciple’s praising our lord and savior was one of one! If you have never been to a Winter Jam and you’re a believer you need to experience it. If you’re not a believer I still recommend it because truthfully you’ll leave there ready to submit your life to Christ! Recruiting Duty ✅

I held off on this post because checking out brought a lot of emotions. It feels good—but recruiting required real sacrifices. To those still on the bag or heading there: this duty isn’t easy. If it were, everyone would do it. Stay true to yourself, your family, and your commitment to the Marines. No assignment is worth losing everything. One saying that carried me through: “It’s either gonna be is or be ain’t.”

Huge thank you to my wife @kyliejoan for standing by me through a life-changing experience and helping me find my faith. Grateful for my leadership—GySgt Nicolas, @modawg23 , and @gunny_williams_marines —for pushing my growth and holding me accountable. To my partners on the bag, @ssgt.merchant.usmc and @ssgtalexporter , thank you for the support, windshield talks, and having my back. And to @rickhayek , @turnerse83 , MGySgt Dodd thank you for always listening when I needed it.

To the Marines, Poolees, and applicants I worked with—do the hard things. Invest in yourself. Go one more. by @moto.moore
