POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
๐Ÿ’กGot an idea? Stop sitting on it. Get it out there!

In this throwback from Gearheads nโ€™ Gasoline met with Kevin Tetz @paintetz from Paintucation @paintucation and we talk about spotting a gap in the market and having the guts to do something about it.

After 26 years with Paintucation, the message is clear: plenty of people have the same idea, but not everyone takes the leap. You donโ€™t need the perfect product, the best production, or every detail figured out. You need to start. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Whether itโ€™s a new product, a tool, or a business idea, if you see a need in the market, jump on it. Ready, fire, aim! ๐Ÿ

๐ŸŽ™๏ธWant to hear the full conversation? Head over to our YouTube channel or your favorite podcast app and catch the full episode!

Special thanks go out to the amazing Annette Bauer at @thestraightlineco, our season one and two co-host.

The future of the automotive industry starts with opportunities to get hands-on. ๐Ÿ”ง

At Wayne Technical Career Center in Williamson, NY, students are helping prepare the MHD Garageโ€™s 1969 Dodge Dart for its next chapter: Drag & Drive.

Owned by MHD team member Keith Bourgeois, this longtime family car is giving students real restoration experience. Under instructor Jeremy Tiffanyโ€™s guidance, theyโ€™re tackling rust repair, panel replacement and metal fabrication while learning how a working shop operates.

Weโ€™re proud to support their work alongside Auto Metal Direct, Borgeson, Red Line Oil and Steele Rubber Products. Giving students access to real projects helps build the skills and confidence our industry needs.

Follow along as the Dart takes shape and these future automotive pros make their mark.

โ€œThereโ€™s no such thing as right or wrong decisions. Thereโ€™s just decisions.โ€

Sometimes, the hardest part isn't making a decision, it's trusting what comes next.

In this throwback from Season 2 of Gearheads nโ€™ Gasoline, we dive into perspective, personal growth, and learning with Jason Wenig from The Creative Workshop @The_CreativeWorkshop to trust the path you're on, even when it doesn't look the way you expected.

You can't always control the outcome, but you can control what you do next. Sometimes, the decisions that challenge us the most lead us exactly where we need to be. ๐Ÿ‘Š

Sometimes the hardest part isnโ€™t figuring out every step. Itโ€™s simply deciding where you want to go.

Jay Riggs talks about the importance of setting goals and using them like a compass. Life can take you in a dozen different directions, but once you decide what youโ€™re working toward, the next move gets a whole lot clearer.

You donโ€™t need to have the entire path mapped out. You just need a direction and the willingness to keep moving.

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Catch the full conversation with Jay Riggs on Gearheads nโ€™ Gasoline.

I used to think design was just making something look good. Itโ€™s not. Itโ€™s making sure it works for a real human. Save this if you care about how things feel, not just how they look.

Industrial design is really the whole life cycle of a product - sketches, materials, ergonomics, and what happens when itโ€™s done being used. Thatโ€™s the part people miss. The best designs arenโ€™t just beautiful.

Theyโ€™re comfortable, useful, and make sense the second you use them. Thatโ€™s especially true in cars - if you canโ€™t reach it, understand it, or trust it, the design failed. Whatโ€™s one product you use every day that actually gets this right?

๐Ÿ”ฅNEW EPISODE: From Garage Builder to Award-Winning Shop Owner
Jay Riggs didnโ€™t grow up in a family of car builders. He started out teaching himself how to build cars in his garage, learning welding, metal shaping, suspension, fabrication, and plenty of lessons the hard way.

Then, after being laid off from his sales career in 2012, he decided to turn those skills into a business.

Today, Riggs Fabrication & Restoration @riggsfab operates out of a 15,000-square-foot facility, building high-level classic cars, customs, hot rods, and award-winning trucks.

In this episode of Gearheads nโ€™ Gasoline, Barry Alt and guest co-host Sean Sawyer of Revved Automotive Consulting @ocdcarbuilder sit down with Jay to talk about:

๐Ÿ”ง Going from hobbyist to professional builder
๐Ÿ“ˆ Growing a restoration and fabrication shop
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Hiring, leadership, and protecting shop culture
๐Ÿ’ฐ Learning from expensive business mistakes
๐ŸŽ“ Developing the next generation of builders
๐Ÿ’ป How CAD, 3D scanning, CNC, and new technology are changing fabrication
๐Ÿš— Turning one-off custom solutions into potential aftermarket products

One of the biggest lessons from Jayโ€™s story?
Being great at building cars and being great at running a business are two very different skill sets.

How many bolt kits does one truck actually need? ๐Ÿ‘€

Thereโ€™s no one-size-fits-all answer, we break down the different options available from Trucks USA.

From bumper-to-bumper kits and cab kits, to complete bed kits, bed bolt kits, and individual fasteners, you can get exactly what you need for your build.

And if youโ€™re only missing a few pieces? You donโ€™t have to buy an entire kit. Trucks USA can supply individual components too.

Have a question about which kit your truck needs? Drop it in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡

Your marketing should work like a system, not a stack of unrelated tasks.

One strong idea can become:
โ–ช๏ธ An expert blog
โ–ช๏ธ Website traffic
โ–ช๏ธ Social media content
โ–ช๏ธ A monthly newsletter
โ–ช๏ธ A valuable sales conversation

When your website, content, graphics, social media and email marketing work together, every effort goes further.
That is the difference between simply posting content and building a brand with authority.

Is your marketing working together, or is it just happening at the same time?

Some car collections are built around value. The best ones are built around stories. ๐Ÿ

In this clip from Gearheads nโ€™ Gasoline, Mark from @bowlertransmissions gives us a look into his automotive collection and the passion behind the cars heโ€™s chosen to keep along the way.

Because for a true gearhead, itโ€™s rarely just a car. Thereโ€™s always a story attached to it.

What happens when old-school hot rod craftsmanship meets modern design, technology, and nearly three decades of family tradition?

Dom grew up in the shop his dad, Dave, started in 1997 and later brought his Industrial Design background from Syracuse University back into the family business. Today, that combination influences everything from CAD and 3D modeling to fabrication, product development, and some seriously memorable SEMA builds.

We get into the stories behind Tucci Hot Rods, working with Ford, the wild Raptor-powered Mercedes 190E, the Blue Maverick, Power Tour, Top Gear, Larry Chen, and what it really takes to build long-term relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.

There are plenty of business lessons in this one too, including why:
โ€ข Timeless design beats chasing trends
โ€ข Great builds can become great marketing
โ€ข Industry relationships are earned over time
โ€ข Product development can help a custom shop grow
โ€ข Hands-on learning still matters

Dom also shares some great advice for the next generation looking to build a career in the automotive aftermarket.

The shop is closed. Someone is on their couch researching who to trust with their next build. Is your website helping you earn that call?

It should explain what you specialize in, show the quality of your work, answer common questions, and make reaching out easy.

Thatโ€™s where SEO and AEO work together:
๐Ÿ”Ž Search engine optimization helps people find your business when they search for the work you do.
๐Ÿ’ฌ Answer engine optimization helps make your expertise clear and useful for search tools that answer customersโ€™ questions.

Start with the basics: detailed service pages, real project stories, and helpful answers to the questions your team hears every week.

Take a look at your website through a new customerโ€™s eyes. Can they tell what you do, why they should trust you, and how to get started?

Your team deserves to clock out. Give your website what it needs to keep working.

Need help? Send Motorhead Digital a message. Letโ€™s talk about getting your website working harder for your business.
