Hello you.🤍 Be Still 📷 Challenge day No.39 I’ve been collecting fruit and flora pieces for the past 8 years, mostly Bavaria 1890s to late 1930s. My collection started with a big fruit bowl from a charity shop. Then I found a sweet little dessert plate. Random little pieces started to pop up here and there, so pretty and just a few dollars how could I not take them home, right! Flowers, berries, orchard fruit… all the things I love, a theme coming together it would seem. As with all collections they start innocent enough with no intention of having 23 pieces but then there we are with a legit collection. 😂 I had a dry spell for a bit finding my beloveds out in the wild and then the past few weeks they started popping up again in a big way, so a little update on the Bavaria wall. Hello you. 🤎 A few minutes of wedding trip free time as I did a little mad dash shopping. Today’s cozy treasures… large Bavaria fruit bowl, 1930s cottage ceramic light fixture, 1890s Bavaria ceramic wall pocket, handmade doilies, 1930-40s bric-a-brac shelf and a sample of the stack of Victorian and Edwardian era cabinet cards I couldn’t leave behind. Hello you. 🤎 Have you grown ornamental cabbage/kale? I start mine from seed in early Spring around the time Fall rolls around they become magnificent and go straight through in Spring planters and flower beds. Belonging to the brassica family the cold isn’t an issue for most growers. Zones 2-11. Bookmark this one for next year they’re fun to grow but they take time. You’ll be just tickled over growing these yourself! 🥬🥬🥬 I’m a little late in the day posting my Be Still 📷 I’m not on the mountain. Hello you. 🤎 Just strolling through. 🐶 Harper just turned 9. She loves me, but loves Tom more. If I had to say so Harper is more Tom’s dog than mine she has naughty quirks and mischief making tendencies such as unauthorized adventuring down the road where a neighbor gave her a cookie that one time in 2018 so she should go see if there’s another cookie to be had from said neighbor. When she goes missing we know right where she’s at, it’s not a daily thing but she did it 2x yesterday to make up for the times she doesn’t do it. 🙈 A side note: my girl Birdie is an angel who does NOTHING naughty ever. 🐶☺️ A few years ago Harper backed up by my girl Birdie fearlessly ran off a black bear when just us girls were out walking the forest, Harper took a swipe from that bear but didn’t back down, she’s scared to death of thunder though. I’d rather thunder than another bear encounter to be honest. 🫤 Tom’s dog, a good old girl got cookies for her birthday. We sure do love that Harper.
