MEET NICOLETTE

Nicolette is a certified Holistic Health Coach and Mat Pilates Instructor, with a background spanning both corporate and charity work within women’s health.

Her passion for holistic health began through her own experience with endometriosis. Following her diagnosis, she became determined to understand her body more deeply and explore how lifestyle, nutrition and a whole-body approach could support her health and wellbeing.

Her work now spans gut and hormone health, spirituality and the mind-body connection, grounded in a belief that every aspect of our wellbeing is interconnected. Nicolette is passionate about empowering women to become their own health heroes, helping them better understand their bodies, take ownership of their health and ultimately feel more at home in themselves.

Alongside health coaching, Pilates has become an important part of Nicolette’s own approach to wellness. For her, it’s an opportunity to move, build strength and completely switch off from everything else. She loves the flow of Pilates and the balance it creates between challenge, control and genuinely enjoying movement.

That’s exactly what she wants to bring to her classes: helping people feel stronger, more confident and more connected to their bodies, while creating a warm and welcoming space where they can switch off, MOVE and genuinely enjoy themselves.

A little appreciation post for my client, Gaby🥹💛

Gaby came to me wanting to understand her body, get some answers around the symptoms she’d been experiencing, and most importantly, feel good again! I’m honestly SO proud of her and the work she’s put in throughout our time working together. Watching her become more confident in understanding and advocating for herself has been so lovely.

Here’s what she had to say ✨ by @moveandmatcha

I’m not going to pretend one breathwork meditation in Goa is going to heal you 🤣

Just like I’m not going to pretend 4 coffees a day, no sleep and running on stress is supporting your hormones…

It’s not about one magical practice. It’s about what you do consistently! Little habits, everyday.

If you’re looking for support, you can book a session via the link in my bio 🫶🏻 taken in Goa, India by @moveandmatcha

Unfortunately for the endo/PMOS girlies, reducing alcohol is for the best 🥲

Especially if you’re at the start of your healing journey and feeling really unwell, this is when I’d massively reduce it or take a break altogether.

We already have enough to contend with… inflammation, gut issues, hormones, stress… our cup is pretty full!

So regularly smashing the wine or sugary cocktails can sometimes be the thing that tips that cup over the edge.

It’s not about never drinking again. It’s about giving your body a bit of a break while you get yourself feeling healthier and happier - and you may find you can tolerate it a lot better afterwards 🫶🏻

Babe… do you look 7 months pregnant after eating an apple?

Do you have absolutely no idea wtf is going on with your body?

Because I used to wonder the exact same thing.

I spent years feeling bloated, uncomfortable and disconnected from my body, trying different things and wondering why nobody could actually explain what was going on.

And honestly, as a woman, I feel like our bodies will always be somewhat of a question mark 😂 but after years of trialling different approaches, I’ve worked out what works - looking at the body as a whole.

Not just the symptom.
Not just the period.
Not just the gut.

The whole picture.

And now I get to help other women do the same! 🧚🏼‍♀️

If you’re constantly bloated, in pain and struggling with your cycle, or just feel like your body is doing things you don’t understand…

Your period is basically your body’s little monthly memo.

Sometimes she’s subtle… sometimes she’s VERY loud 🥲

Pain, heavy bleeding, PMS, spotting, changes in your cycle - these can all be clues that something is worth paying attention to.

For years I thought horrific periods were just something we had to put up with. Spoiler: we absolutely don’t.

Instead of just accepting whatever your period throws at you every month, get curious about what your body might be trying to tell you!

If you’re struggling with your cycle and don’t know where to start, book in a slot with me. We can look at your symptoms, lifestyle and what might be going on underneath the surface, rather than just accepting it as “normal” every month ❤️‍🔥 by @moveandmatcha

There’s a difference between knowing the movements and knowing exactly what you’re looking at.

Position. Control. Range. Where you’re compensating. Where you’ve got more to give.

This is where grip. comes in. We’ve got the kind of coaches who make you understand your body differently.

We’ll see you soon x taken in Digbeth, Birmingham by @moveandmatcha

After my endo surgery in 2020, I was told the pill or injection was my best option for preventing endometriosis from growing back.

I decided to take a different approach and focus on supporting my body through nutrition and lifestyle instead.

Here’s what I’ve been doing since:

1️⃣ I removed foods that I felt were driving inflammation. I cut back on ultra-processed foods and alcohol, focused on protein, healthy fats, fibre, veggies and whole foods, and removed gluten after noticing how my body responded.

2️⃣ I reassessed alcohol. I used to party lots on weekends and my body was basically in a constant state of inflammation. Alcohol can also negatively impact immune function (not great with an inflammatory condition like endo)!

3️⃣ I looked into what was actually going on inside my body. Chronic fatigue and constipation led me to functional medicine testing, including a DUTCH test and stool testing, giving me a clearer picture of my hormones, gut and deficiencies. I wanted to reduce symptoms but also understand the root causes.

4️⃣ I prioritised my gut health. Constipation was huge for me, so I started paying much more attention to my digestion and elimination. I also realised how connected my gut was to stress and holding onto emotions.

5️⃣ I focused on the mind-body connection. Nicole Sachs’ work completely changed how I viewed the relationship between stress, emotions and physical symptoms. Life changing, truly!

6️⃣ I made sleep a priority. Lights out by 9:30pm for a good while.

7️⃣ I changed the way I moved. When my fatigue was at its worst, I could barely get out of bed. Pilates became a huge part of my routine, and I learnt to listen to my body.

This journey led me to study nutrition and holistic health coaching, so I could properly understand all of this for myself and eventually help other women too.

There’s no magic fix for endo, but looking at the whole picture has made the biggest difference for me. 🤍 by @moveandmatcha
