Atlanta, we love seeing you out there running, riding, and staying active 💪🏾—but the heat can sneak up on you fast.

Grady treats people every year for heat-related illnesses, and many of these cases are preventable.

If you’re heading outside, keep these tips in mind:
💧 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate
Don’t wait until you’re thirsty—drink water before, during, and after your workout.

👕 Dress for the heat
Choose light-colored, loose-fitting, sweat-wicking clothing to help reflect the sun and keep you cool.

🧢 Protect your skin and eyes
Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen aren’t optional. Keep it cute but also stay protected.

🍌 Fuel your body
The heat makes your body work harder, so make sure you’re properly nourished before and after your activity.

Your health matters to us and we want you to stay safe so you can keep doing what you love ❤️

📢 Share this with your workout partners, running groups, and cycling crews to help prevent heat emergencies. Together, we can build a healthier Atlanta.

We had so much fun at @moveforgrady recently, the annual fundraiser ride & run for Grady Hospital. I really enjoyed the party atmosphere throughout, including the actual party at the end with free food and drinks.

Next year, I'll definitely promote this more and try to get an even bigger ASBR crew - it felt a very community-centered event, and that was one reason I loved it. by @moveforgrady
