Seven races. One commitment. ❤️🤍💙

Today I crossed the finish line of my first Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race—and the largest race I’ve ever participated in! What made it even more meaningful is that it marks Race #7, keeping my promise to me.

Consistency over perfection. Commitment over convenience. That’s how we flourish.

This week was made even more special with my niece and nephew flying in from Houston to spend quality time together. Moments like these remind me that flourishing is about more than personal milestones—it’s about health, family, joy, and creating memories along the way.

Here’s to the first seven. More races—and more growth—are still to come.

A Divine Original™ is about choosing yourself every day and honoring the commitments you make to become the person you’re called to be.

We had so much fun at @moveforgrady recently, the annual fundraiser ride & run for Grady Hospital. I really enjoyed the party atmosphere throughout, including the actual party at the end with free food and drinks.

Next year, I'll definitely promote this more and try to get an even bigger ASBR crew - it felt a very community-centered event, and that was one reason I loved it.

Still can’t believe I did my first 5K 🥹🏃🏽‍♀️✨

Move For Grady in Atlanta, GA was such an amazing experience—from the energy to the community, everything about it pushed me to keep going.

And honestly? I’m so proud of that.

This wasn’t about being the fastest—it was about showing up, staying consistent, and proving to myself that I can do hard things.

If you’ve been thinking about starting… this is your sign. You don’t have to be ready, you just have to begin 💫

I have not done a 5K in years. The moment I hit my goal many years ago I retired from running and 5Ks altogether and I felt very good about that decision.

Then Move for Grady came around and Team Grady Young Professionals needed bodies. I bought a jogging stroller specifically for this moment, fully knowing I was not running a single step. Baby M and I were walking this one.

I tried to recruit other moms to walk with me. That did not work out. I registered anyway because I knew I was going to be part of Team GYP regardless as a member of the leadership team, even if I had no idea whether my stroller pace would leave me walking alone the entire time.

It did not. I ended up making two new connections who walked with me the entire way and kept me going when my 11 month old was looking at me like I had lost my mind for waking him up at 7 AM. He attempted to make an exit at every single mile marker. We negotiated. We made it through. He also held it together through the after party and even got a little dancing in.

This day reminded me of a few things. That I can do hard things even when they feel inconvenient. That I can bring Baby M into the experiences that matter to me. And that no matter how long you have been doing this, there are always new people worth meeting.

Team GYP showed out, thousands of dollars went to Grady, and I am already thinking about how to recruit an even bigger team next year. Baby M might even want to run it by then. We will see. 🏃🏾‍♀️

Yep! Today felt complete in the best way; full, meaningful, and reflective. But even in that sense of fulfillment, his journey is still continuing.

He continues to face both cognitive and physical challenges, and some days are harder than others. Progress doesn’t always look the way people expect, but what remains constant is his determination. Day after day, he shows up, puts in the work, and keeps moving forward.

He’s learning to give himself grace, to celebrate the small wins, and to recognize growth, even when it feels slow. This isn’t about getting back to what was, it’s about building something new, something stronger.

A new normal is taking shape for him. One day at a time. 💪🏾
