I’m so grateful to celebrate another year of Move with Pride! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Two years ago, I launched Move with Pride to provide a more inclusive space for folks to reach their real estate goals. I had no idea it would go on to be so successful and impact so many people’s lives!

None of it would be possible without you all. Thank you to all of my clients for trusting me. Thank you to those who referred me, and keep referring me. Thank you to everyone who brings up my name when real estate is mentioned.

And thank you for providing an environment where I can show up as MY complete self. I’ve had to tone down my queerness in so many professional settings. But when I meet a new client for the first time, I know I can be my full queer and trans self, and that my pronouns and gender will be respected.

Thanks for another amazing year, I can’t wait to see what year three has in store! ❤️

This year I’ve loved watching you become even more YOU. Getting really into sewing and turning a little corner into the cutest craft nook, becoming an incredible cook and making us the most delicious meals, devouring books on your Kobo, and falling more and more in love with traveling and all of our adventures together.

I’m so proud of you and I love watching you grow, change, try new things, and discover new versions of yourself. You’re the perfect yin to my yang, and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to do this life with you.

If you’ve ever visited our home, there’s a good chance you’ve experienced the olfactory bliss that is @queercandleco. We are *obsessed* with their candles and how they fill a space with fresh, cozy vibes for every season. Right now our fave is Tomato Leaf 🍅

You know we love to support other queer-owned businesses, so when we had the idea to buy candles wholesale to include in our client settlement bags, it was a no brainer! Moving into a new space can feel unfamiliar at first and our hope is that these scents will bring warmth and comfort as folks settle in, making their new house feel like home 🏠😌❤️

This week marks 8 years in real estate and 4 years of Move with Pride!

If you’re unfamiliar with the ✨lore✨ of my real estate journey, here’s a quick recap: After teaching French at Penn for 7 years (and not getting paid nearly enough), I decided to pivot and start a career in real estate in 2018. I didn’t know how it would pan out, but I knew I needed a change. I worked my ass off as a team agent and gave my clients the highest level of service. In 2022, I took a big risk by going solo and starting Move with Pride, which has been more successful than I could have ever dreamed!

I pride myself in having a solid work ethic and I know that’s gotten me very far. But MwP wouldn’t have been this successful without my partner in life and in business, Maggie, who has been working behind the scenes since 2020. She helped me build a solid social media following and launch Move with Pride while simultaneously starting an entrepreneurial career of her own. In early 2024, Maggie got her real estate license and became an even more integral part of the team, taking on all rental clients in addition to creating our biweekly newsletter, being head graphic designer, videographer, social media manager, event coordinator, head chef and senior dog caretaker.

Running a business with your romantic partner is a balancing act, but one that we both do happily, so we can serve even more folks in need of kind and compassionate real estate support. I’m excited to share that the Move with Pride team has expanded this year (announcement coming soon!) and with that, the opportunity for us to slow down and smell the roses that we’ve been meticulously growing for years 🌹

My biggest thanks to everyone who has helped Move with Pride thrive! Every time you choose me as your realtor, or recommend me to someone else, or tag me in a post, you’re telling the world that queer and trans owned businesses are needed 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

“You can survive being misunderstood...Being understood is wonderful, but it is not a prerequisite for being yourself.”

This quote from my Gemini horoscope in @provincetownmagazine really resonated with me. As a trans masc non-binary person, I am all too familiar with being misunderstood. After 2+ years on T, I’m finally being clocked as more “man” and that’s been incredibly affirming and has expanded my gender and sexuality in ways I never would have imagined. I feel more “myself” than ever before!

Being misgendered always pissed me off because it felt invalidating, like no one could see the real me. I could be shirtless at the beach, top surgery scars showing proudly, and still get called she/her! But the farther I get on this ~transformation~, the more I realize that I don’t need to be fully understood by everyone in order to feel validated.

I’m transmasc non-binary. That’s true whether you “get it” or not. And it’s beautiful :)

What’s better than Phillies Pride Night? Sharing Phillies Pride Night with 100 clients and their families!

This event has been months in the making and is something I’ve wanted to do for years. Finally this year, with the help of our newest team member, Jeana, we made it happen! The universe blessed us with amazing weather and a beautiful sunset and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.

Thank you to Rob Plotnick from Meridian Bank for co-sponsoring this event with me. Everyone seemed to have a blast and it was exciting to see so many of my clients having fun together! The Phils didn’t win but it didn’t really matter to me, because I went home with a smile on my face and a heart full of gratitude ♥️
