What does it mean to bring a fascial understanding into the way you observe, experience and teach movement?

Moving Fascia Teacher Training combines immersive training with ten months of ongoing mentorship, giving you the time and framework to explore this in depth.

Through embodied experience and continued guidance, you deepen your understanding of fascia, enrich the way you observe movement and develop the critical thinking needed to bring a fascial approach into your teaching.

The 2027 training begins in March with three immersive training weekends, in Brighton or live online, followed by ten months of online mentoring with me.

Applications are now open. Full details through the link in bio. by @movingfascia

How Moving Fascia ended up here…

Moving Fascia grew from practice. It is practice-led and fascia-informed, shaped by curiosity, lived experience and years of investigating the body through movement. Yes, also through manual therapy and the study of anatomy, but always through movement.

And Moving Fascia continues to evolve through curiosity, exploration and practice. by @movingfascia

Detail matters.
Yet specificity doesn’t require isolation.
The whole body listens.
And movement becomes dialogue.

Balls and balls… but what’s in a ball?

@barretxeguren ‘s suitcase is full of Moving Fascia balls. Getting ready to present at the @bodycontrolpilates Development Weekend.

The tool matters, but it’s in our understanding of fascia, the attention and intention we bring, and the conditions we create for sensory experience that new possibilities for movement can emerge.

Looking forward to sharing Moving Fascia with the Pilates community, meeting everyone and bringing a little more fascia into the conversation, through movement and embodiment (always).

See you there?

The Early Bird booking period for Cornwall ends in two weeks and spaces are already filling up, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us next May, now is a good time to save your place.

Here’s a glimpse of our time together last year… movement, bluebells, beautiful food, woodland adventures, lots of rest as well as laughter, oh, and Gloria the pig escaping to greet us. Well, and to eat our food! Thankfully @enlivenuktri saved the day with a bucket of her own food and Gloria happily followed her home!

We’ll be back in this beautiful forest in Cornwall next May for a few days of Moving Fascia exploration led by @barretxeguren, connection and time immersed in the landscape.

Early Bird ends in two weeks.

Come and join us.

We’ll be coming back next May, to practise Moving Fascia, move in the rainforest, swim in the river, walks, sauna, rest, and of course enjoy more gorgeous, nourishing food by @soph_gordon.

Thank you Sophie for nourishing us so beautifully during our time at @cabillacornwall this year. Supporting the practice with delicious plant-based food, made with so much care and flavour, and always a smile.

We return to the ancient rainforest of Bodmin Moor for four days of Moving Fascia practice.

What sits at the heart of fascia + movement?

Fascia has changed the way we understand the body – not as a collection of separate parts, but as an interconnected, responsive and adaptable whole.

But what might this mean for the way we move?

This question has been at the heart of my work for many years, and has gradually shaped the four interwoven principles of Moving Fascia®: Soften, Expand, Restore and Integrate – SERI.

SERI isn’t a sequence to follow or a set of steps to master. Each principle exists in relationship with the others, continually influencing how we move, perceive, respond and adapt.

In Moving Fascia, movement is both our territory of enquiry and our way of enquiring.

From September to December, we’ll turn the lens towards the architecture of Moving Fascia itself, giving each principle some space:

September – SOFTEN
How do we receive?

October – EXPAND
How do we respond and reach?

November – RESTORE
How do we recalibrate?

December – INTEGRATE
How do we inhabit?

We’ll explore these questions through movement, embodied anatomy, reflection and conversation, allowing each principle to inform and learn from the others.

This four month series will unfold within the Moving Fascia LAB, our online practice and learning space, where we meet live each month and continue building a growing library of movement explorations.

Beginning 3 September
First Thursday of each month · 6-7.30pm (UK time)

All sessions are recorded and available to replay.
