Its 2017 and the first neighborhood that welcomed us to Colorado was Cheesman Park. I did hours of research on various pockets of Denver, falling in love with a dozen areas before ever even flying out to see them.

Little did I know I was getting a taste of what would eventually become my career! We moved into a loft apartment at the top of a Victorian home built in the late 1800s. The spiral staircase was outside, and three stories, and treacherous in inclement weather. I listened to this song on repeat while studying for my real estate exam in that apartment and in the sun on the terrace.

I would start my day with a walk in the park, usually chatting with my mom on the phone. We didn't have Cracker Jack yet then and she was accustomed to hearing me say "hang on mom, there's a puppy coming that I need to pet." If you don't have a dog and are having withdrawals @cheesmanbark is the place to be. There is an endless pool of sweet pups looking to socialize!

Cheesman Park holds a special bit of my heart. Its a neighborhood built on welcoming everyone and is a place I loved to call home.

@odetheshop is a welcoming space that not only smells good - it makes you feel good, too.

We were treated like queens, and from the moment we sat down with our Fume Tender we were riffing and laughing - totally engaged in the process. @hilthompso sniffing each other on the street is definitely a new highlight memory of our friendship 😂

Local perfume makers are the lifeblood of this cute shop, where you can also pick up locally hand-crafted jewelry and poetry! (Hello, gift shopping for your bestie)

If you're looking for a fun, free experience in Denver, I'm giving this one 10/10 🤗

I have been entrenched in the Applewood market for the last few years, absorbing everything I can about the niche movements happening here. In zone for one of the best Elementary schools in Jefferson County, young families and working professionals are slowly moving into the very well established neighborhoods surrounding the school. Its been really interesting to see the shift and to love on the homes in this area, as they come on market - some for the first time in decades. Many of them are mid-century, which you all know I have a soft spot for, and some of them happen to be timecapsules. 👀

This home is the perfect blend between "still has may of it's original features" and "updated for the modern human" - my favorite combo.

Welcome to Poppy Street!

This property is one that seamlessly blends timeless character with gorgeous modern updates.

Some things I LOVE to see:

- walk up entrance screams iconic MCM
- cathedral ceilings AND beams
- updated baths with gorgeous finishes
- large kitchen with soo many cabinets

Mirror mirror, on the wall 🪞 #fitcheck

I love my job and the homes I get to explore because of it. I've been collecting little moments to "reflect" on the places in and around Denver that have impressed me but I can't tell you how many bathrooms with incredible tile that I forgot to include in this series.

An update on the best boy:

He has had a hell of a year, riding the rollercoaster of the elderly dog lifestyle. At the beginning of 2026, Cracker Jack was diagnosed with a brain tumor and without treatment was given a prognosis of a few weeks to a couple of months. With radiation, he was given a 90% chance to fight it and live up to two more years.

So, we fought.

In April, this brave boy went under anesthesia and received radiation for 20 days in a row. The team who has been in charge of his care has been incredible and we have learned so much about the doggy healthcare system. (PS. Get pet insurance, if you don't have it.)

All summer he has made progress up and down, gained the weight he had lost and stopped having as many neurological issues. And when we had his last MRI done, we got back great news - that nasty little tumor shrunk!! 💥

While we were celebrating the great news, it also became evident that CJ's back legs were losing their functionality. The neurologist said that despite the brain tumor shrinking, it could be a multitude of different issues and that he may or may not ever walk again.

So, we pivot.

We were fortunate to find a harness that helps him move around with our assistance and a stroller to get him out for walks. (Which he loves!)

I don't know what this looks like for the long term, so for now we are counting every day as the blessing that it is.

And I will shout it from the rooftops for the rest of my life - we don't deserve this kind of love.

Touring this 1938 French brick tutor made my jaw drop and my heart race, y'all.

With original hand carved beams and tiger oak hardwood floors, she's truly an architectural masterpiece. I loved the dualing primary suites, splashes of color throughout, and the natural light in the solarium.
