Peak Television right here

True detective season 1 is the best single season of all time, and I love Bryan Cranston but this Emmy belonged to Mr. McConaughey.

One of the saddest films I've ever seen

Sean Durkin’s The Iron Claw is less a sports movie and more a modern tragedy. Following the real-life Von Erich wrestling family, it tells a story of glory overshadowed by unbearable loss. Of six brothers, only one survived — a fact that makes the film devastating to watch.

Zac Efron delivers a career-best performance, transforming himself physically and emotionally into Kevin Von Erich, supported by a stellar cast that captures both the brotherhood and the heartbreak.

On set, Stanley Simons lightened the mood by singing High School Musical songs to Efron, a surreal contrast to the film’s heavy tone. Also, the film was named one of the Top 10 Movies of 2023 by the National Board of Review.

When you grow, you feel less joy

Growing up brings more disappointments—in love, in life, in ourselves. Things get heavier, and joy can feel harder to find.

But Inside Out reminds us: joy doesn’t leave. It just hides in smaller moments. If you look a little closer, it’s still there—soft, quiet, but always waiting to be felt.

Prisoners is a masterpiece

Jake Gyllenhaal created Detective Loki’s distinctive mannerisms himself, including his constant blinking, twitching, and unusual way of moving his head. He wanted Loki to feel like a real person carrying years of stress and unresolved trauma, rather than a stereotypical movie detective.

The result is a character whose smallest gestures make you feel that something is always going on beneath the surface.

Some things I watched recently and wanted to share my thoughts with you.

What do you think about these movies/series? I put a short review of course, just to point out the biggest things in every one of them.

Jake and Amy

The best couple of TV of all time, haven't seen any other couple with the love, understanding and admiration that Jake and Amy have. Even when there were problems they sat down and discussed them like grown ups, no cheating, no pride, no ego, just love and understanding.

If someone asks me how I picture myself with my future wife, this is exactly what I would show.

Thank you Andy Samberg and Melissa Fumero for bringing this amazing couple into our lives.

One of the best things Disney has given us

Tangled is a perfect blend of romance, comedy, and adventure. The chemistry between Rapunzel and Flynn Rider is absolutely beautiful, their dynamic feels so natural, and their banter is pure gold. And the comedy is just great, Maximus, Pascal, the expressions, the timing… everything just works. A timeless love story that never loses its magic.

Damien Chazelle deserves so much more

Man, I hate how people fail to recognize when they’re watching something truly special just because it’s different from what they expected or wanted. Sometimes, you need to step outside your comfort zone, broaden your perspective, and look beyond what’s explicitly presented on screen. Try to understand the director’s vision, explore the ideas behind the story, and see what the film is trying to say rather than judging it solely for what it is.

By the way, Joker: Folie à Deux was good, and I’m standing by that opinion. I’ve had this discussion with plenty of people, and no one has changed my mind yet. But I’m always open to a good debate, so if you disagree, let’s talk. I’m genuinely willing to hear your perspective. by @mr.cinemagic

You only have today

Rocky motivation is ALWAYS needed.

Stop telling yourself that tomorrow or some other day will be the day. All you have is the present. Go after what you want, fight for what you deserve, and never hesitate.

The world wasn’t made for the indecisive or the lukewarm. It belongs to those who dare to show up, take the first step, and keep fighting no matter how hard it gets.

No excuses. No hesitation. Just fight.
There is no tomorrow.

Little Miss Sunshine Is so special

Abigail was only six years old when she was cast as Olive, and the directors searched across English-speaking countries before deciding she was the perfect choice. Her performance eventually earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress at just 10 years old, making her one of the youngest nominees in the category’s history.

I would never know what this movie is about

Brad Pitt performance in Snatch is so underrated, I kinda love when Brad Pitt does a supporting role in films, Once upon a time in Hollywood, Inglorious Basterds and in here.

Brad Pitt at it's finest.
