We’re thrilled to spotlight ⭕️ member @mrbastudio Brandon Aguiar.

Brandon’s figurative paintings draw from personal narrative, found imagery, and art-historical references to explore memory, duality, and emotional interiority. Through layered process and shifting imagery, his work invites viewers into psychological spaces that feel intimate, unresolved, and deeply human.

Born in Massachusetts, Brandon lives and works in Providence, RI.

We’re honored to have Brandon as part of the ⭕️ community.

I’ve spent the better part of my summer working on 2 large paintings. It’s been a while since I’ve worked this big. But I felt it was important to push the work and see what happens when I increase or decrease the scale. I have always had a sense of what size (painting) an idea needs to be. It felt time to start trying out some of the bigger ideas🐬💀

Growing up, the Now That’s What I Call Music compilations were always around, stacked in cars, playing at family parties, or blasting through cheap CD players in bedrooms. They captured a moment in time, track by track.

Now That’s What I Call Heartbreak taps into that same feeling, the soundtrack of growing up, love, loss, and everything in between.

A nostalgic nod to a cultural staple that, somehow, is still going today.

Available now:

‘Now That’s What I Call Heartbreak’ by Brandon Aguiar
Oil and acrylic on canvas
