Life’s funny. One day you’re pitching a show to Netflix, the next you’re waking up to a giant fkn billboard of that show outside your HOUSE.

Can’t wait for you to love Liv Healy’s journey through pleasure and pain, health and heartbreak – and yes, colonics and cholesterol – as much as we did making this beast.

#Wellmania. Get well. Die trying.

SPEND FOUR HOURS UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH BENJAMIN LAW AT THE BLUE MOUNTAINS SAUNA
If you’ve ever wanted to know more about the craft and economics of writing, Benjamin – who has written books, journalism, stage plays, TV screenplays, columns, documentaries and essays for over 20 years – is here to help, by answering all your questions in this no-holds barred, minimal-clothing* workshop at Blue Mountains Sauna!,

*Don’t worry: we’re not going all-out Scandinavian and naked, so bring your favourite swimsuit!

BOOK HERE: www.bluemountainswritersfestival.com.au/workshops/benjamin-law-workshop

Participants will share a two-hour sauna session with Benjamin, where he’ll answer every question imaginable, in an environment conducive to openness and honesty. What makes for a good interview? How do you handle rejection? What does a good daily writing practice look like? How do you get an agent? How do I finish this damn manuscript?

You'll have exclusive access to both saunas, including the Savu, the Southern Hemisphere's first public wood-fired smoke sauna, along with two cold plunges and three fireside rest areas. You’ll draw inspiration from a guided Aufguss with a trained Sauna Masters. Water infused with organic essential oils is poured over the stones, and the steam is moved through the room with choreographed towel work, set to music. It is immersive, physical and deeply grounding, and it is best experienced exactly as sauna is meant to be: together.

Then, after a short break, you’ll enter a relaxing workshop space, where you’ll use the experience of the sauna to inspire your work, participating in writing exercises and reflection under Benjamin’s guidance.

Blue Mountains Sauna opened in Leura in 2022 as Australia's first dedicated European-style public sauna, and has been championing authentic sauna culture ever since, performing Australia's first public Aufguss in 2023.

The attacks on @divineplayhouse.syd in Sydney aren’t just attacks on a party venue. These are attacks on our community, our culture and our history. It’s an attack on how people connect. So let’s:

1. Follow @divineplayhouse.syd
2. Sign the petition in my bio
3. Donate to their GoFundMe in my bio

And for the rest of you, seek Christ. Jesus hung out with sex workers and outcasts. I’m pretty sure he’d love the venue. by @mrbenjaminlaw

One antidote against the cursed stuff on the timeline: a one-hour ABC Conversations deep dive with Gamilaroi icon and role model @boneybrooke 💫

We know and love Brooke from breakfast radio and TV, and for bringing “yaama” (“hello” in Gamilaroi) into our daily lives on triple j. But wait ‘til you hear her back-story: how the oldest kid of six, in small town of 10,000, who never got to finish high school, became an Oxford scholar.

Our episode of Conversations up now on the @abclisten app or your fave podcast app.

Big thanks to EP Eliza Kirsch and producer Alice Moldavan for making this episode with me. by @mrbenjaminlaw

Chuffed to be stepping in for legends @sarah_kanowski and Richard Fidler for a couple of episodes of Conversations. First guest: bookhunk and fellow Queenslander @lukebateman_ .

You dig Luke’s reels and TikToks already, but I’m confident you’re gonna love his big heart and candour – about NRL, books, overcoming addiction and his fierce love of family and the country – just as much.

Today (Friday) 11am on your local ABC station, 3pm on @abcradionational and any time on the @abclisten app or your fave podcast app.

Big thanks to excellent EP Eliza Kirsch and assassin-level producer Alice Moldavan for being dream teammates on this. by @mrbenjaminlaw
