Have you got what it takes to join one of the leading VAG Tuners in the UK

For the past 20 years MRC Tuning has been at the forefront of Audi Volkswagen tuning as independent, VAG specialists. A large part of our work is focused on performance upgrades and dyno tuning and we need a technician who has experience working with specifically RS and S models of the Audi lineup and also Golf GTI/R platforms.

The Role:

Based at our headquarters in Banbury, you will predominantly be responsible for the maintenance and repair work of Performance models of Audi and Volkswagen.

However, you will also be involved on cars with bespoke elements - building high-performance project vehicles and offering technical advice to customers and colleagues, while ensuring that you always deliver an outstanding customer experience. We require someone who can not only work to the master tech level of technician but also has the skills to adapt with fitting aftermarket parts.

Responsibilities:

• Servicing of Performance cars to an extremely high standard
• Diagnosis and repair work
• Installation of aftermarket and performance parts
• Support other technicians in the workshop
• Ensuring that all paperwork is completed for each job in a timely manner
• Communicating with customers for vehicle hand overs, and discussing systems/work carried out to vehicles

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Level 3/4 NVQ or equivalent in Diagnostic tech/Master tech (Level 4 preferred)
• Previous experience with Performance models in the VAG group
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good time management skills
• Full valid driving licence

About you:

We’re looking for an experienced team player with a keen eye for detail who can think on their feet in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. No two days are the same, so you’ll need to be able to switch from one job to another, as required and display a ‘can-do’ approach to challenges. We have a true passion for performance, so a love of performance cars, supercars and tuning would be highly desirable.

No heat soak for this RS3 powered Mk7 Golf, it was doing rounds and getting quicker and quicker 💪💪
Owned by @thersrmk7, and built by @mrctuningltd

Best I filmed on the main camera was a 9.48, and it went round once more to run a 9.39 💪💪

Will be back in the 8's soon. I think it has a PB of 8.94 at 159mph 🚀🚀

Turbo Thursday with our tried and tested @turbotechnics TTv4 package on the VW Golf R MK7 CJXC ea888.

This car came to us with one criteria 1map 99ron 470ps + of highly usable power, we chose to use the TTv4 which is capable of much more than this power level however it's nice to have so much headroom in the future if needed.

The hardware upgrades:

TTv4 hybrid turbo
Revo intake
Wagner intercooler
200cel downpipe
Apr catback
HPFP
4BAR map sensors

After tuning this car makes a really nice curve and peaks the plot at 476ps and 590nm.

The torque comes in at over 550nm from 3250rpm and nearly holds that until 6000rpm rising to 590nm at 4544rpm.

The weather whilst dynoing this car was very hot ambient with the recent heatwave so we would expect to see the numbers rise more with cooler intake temperatures. taken in MRC Tuning by @mrctuningltd

This B9 RS4 came in for our tried and tested MRC Stage 3 package.

Initially running on vpower fuel we upgraded all the parts and then tuned firstly to see the gains and then drained the fuel and filled up with 99 ron which we recommend for the best results.

Hardware upgrades:

@theturboengineers TTE720 TURBOS
EXHAUST RES DELETE
@eventuri_ intake
@integrated_engineering inlet pipe
High pressure fuel pump
@wagnertuning charge cooler and rad
4bar map sensors

The car dynoed 587ps 815nm with the Initial tune on vpower

We drained the fuel and filled it with 99ron and then tuned to the new fuel.

With optimised tune we achieved 649ps 846nm

That's a massive 199ps 246nm gain!

Finally after all the issues the RS6 gets tuned and tested!
